Absolutely loved everything here. We ordered the spaghetti vongole, deep fried calamari, kale salad and pizza. Every dish was amazing with authentic Italian flavours. We chose the outdoor seating so we can enjoy the natural breeze and the tranquility of the neighbourhood. Its the perfect place for us to relax after a whole day at the beach.

Tucked along S. Lantau Road, BELLA CIAO is a little Italian gem that truly delivers on authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and warm, friendly service. The star of the show? The Linguine Alle Vongole hits the perfect balance of rich and bright, with fresh clams stealing the spotlight. For starters, the Calamari Fritti sets the tone beautifully – crispy, light, and oh-so-satisfying. And let’s not forget the Matteo pizza, loaded with Italian sausage and gooey mozzarella. Apparently, it’s named after the owner (how cool is that?), and it lives up to the hype!

Absolutely loved my lunch at Bella Ciao! It’s super easy to find, right on the main road, yet it feels peaceful without the usual noise and traffic. The service was fantastic, and the food was simply amazing—definitely worth the visit for their delicious pizzas and pasta! The owner and the waitstaff were incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience unforgettable. Highly recommend!

Really delicious food! I loved how generous the portion size was along with the authenticity and balanced taste. The calamari tasted fresh and crispy with the mayonnaise and chilli slices. The pesto pasta was not too overbearing with flavour and had the right amount of cheese. The anchovies pizza was the perfect level of saltiness. Despite eating quite a lot, I felt light and refreshed due to the high quality of ingredients used. The restaurant workers (one of them was Italian) were also super friendly and I saw them striking conversations with the other diners. Generally very good vibes from this restaurant !

Ok this may look like we are a group of hungry people . But this is our hang out place. Importing Italian gourmet products – food is fresh, with good quality ingredients & of course tasty! A gourmet shop right next to the restaurant – you find delicious biscuits / pasta /sauces. Always good to find time to reserve for a table. Owner Matteo is a great host with Ryan at top speed attending to your needs. We love it here at Bella Ciao & thank you Matteo for treating us like family ❤️.

We go out of our way from Central to eat at Matteo’s Bella Ciao Restaurant.
The food is authentic, the service is warm & genuine AND it’s just a few steps away from the beach.
Definitely try their meatballs or the Cacio e pepe pasta so yummy!!

Very friendly owner and excellent food. Going from other reviews- we went with the calamari and mussels with white wine. Both were very good- considering that seafood is not always the safest choice in new restaurants! We enjoyed the lasagna and pizza as well. Looking forward to next trip and the menu still has lots to offer.

Amazing Italian food in Pui O!
Found an Italian restaurant nearby after going to the beach. Didn’t have much expectations, ended up being amazed by the food! We ordered a focaccia, pasta and a roasted chicken.
The focaccia was SOOO GOOOD!! It’s baked before serving so it had the crisp surface and soft inner.
Pasta was absolutely delicious as well with a generous amount of sauce, a good mix of spice and tomato flavours.
Spring chicken was just slightly subpar given the size. It was also a little dry after roasting. But nonetheless it was still filled with flavours from the herbs marinade. Fries were spectacular as well!
Service from staff was attentive and warm as well. Great place to dine in after a visit to the beach!
