First, the service was outstanding! Ahmed took our order and explained our options suggesting dishes and drinks. He shared a $2 off discount special for the Shrimp Coconut Curry tacos which by the way were AH MAA ZING! …By far the Best shrimp tacos I have ever eaten!
The food was flavorful with just the right amount of spiciness.
We LOVE Indian food and tend to get really excited when ordering.
We had the Street Style Chaat, Shrimp Coconut Curry Tacos, Spinach Masala, Malai Kofta, Garlic Naan and Tiramisu for dessert!
Already looking forward to our next visit!
Definitely give this new spot a try.

We look forward to going to Tikka Shack. The staff is always welcoming and we are beginning to explore new dishes.
-Paneer Makhani Pizza (spicy Malai sauce, thin sliced paneer, mozzarella, hot peppers, tomatoes, and dried methi leaves) – very good but also be careful with the jalapenos because some of them were very spicy!
-Tandoori Chicken Pizza (Tikka sauce, fresh mozzarella, Tandoori chicken, red onions, fresh jalapenos, and cilantro) – I’m torn between which one I liked better because I really liked the tikka sauce here but I do also love paneer. Maybe they could do a mash up of these two
-Chicken 65 (chicken stir-fried with chilis and curry leaves with a spicy red hot yogurt sauce) – the flavor was good but the chicken was a bit dry
-Masala Fries (loaded fries doused with tikka masala, onions, tomatoes, cilantro, covered in sweet and spicy spices) – this sounds good in theory but since we did pick up, everything was soggy. If you’re going to order this, see if you can get the sauce on the side. It did come with extra sauce though, which I appreciated – and we ended up dipping everything in that
-Samosas (two crispy pastries stuff with potatoes, peas, and secret spices. Served with a tamarind + mint chutney) – these were huge! I loved the tamarind + mint chutney. We also ended up dipping everything in this sauce, so see if you can get extra of it
If you’re looking for classic/authentic Indian food, this isn’t it. But if you’re looking for fun fusion Indian fast food, then this is a great option. Will definitely order again! They also have tacos, and I wouldn’t mind a chicken tikka masala taco right about now.

Samosas
Naan
Tikka Masala
This newly franchise in downtown Hackensack specializes in classic Indian cuisine. Most of the items are freshly made in house.
Samosa:
The baked pastries were stuffed with potatoes, vegetables, and special seasonings. The dipping sauce added a nice touch.
Naan:
The soft, doughy flatbread was as served warm. It was slightly crispy. It’s perfect for dipping in the sauce of any of the main entrées.
Tikka Masala:
This plate is a must try! Hearty chunks of chicken mixed in a savory tomato cream. I especially loved sauce because it had a nice kick.
Each menu item I explored was a home run and I was more than content with this visit. In the future, I plan to return and make a video reel

I loved the pizza the most and the chicken was also great! All in all I had a really good experience!
What really made the visit even better was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making sure we were comfortable and enjoying our meal.
If you’re looking for tasty Indian food with great service, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
The open layout is perfect for groups, and the menu offers fully customizable options to suit all tastes. The flavors were on point and the food overall was delicious.
We tried the naan taco with shrimp — the taste was excellent, though $5 for a single taco felt a bit steep. That said, the flavor made up for it. The masala fries, while flavorful, could have been crispier.
Everything we ordered was freshly prepared and tasted great. It’s definitely a solid choice if you’re in the area and looking for a flavorful bite in a modern setting.
