Amazing coffee, tea, juices, and smoothies! Delicious pastry selection – but they sell out fast! Limited food menu, but it’s very delicious and made fresh when you order. Stompin Grounds is a small business that’s got the best vibes of any coffee shop from their cute little shop supporting other local businesses and craftspeople to their cute tables and chairs! This local Lake Zurich staple is a regular stop for most of us and should be your go to if you’re passing through or visiting!

I really love this coffee shop — it has such a warm and cozy atmosphere that makes you feel at home. They’re pet-friendly, which is a huge plus for me! Strange vibe, like you don’t want to bring kids around type of feeling. Girly at the counter wouldn’t look at me or anunciate a single word. Goat nose wraps with okra and organic fig spread panini just doesn’t sound good and the coffee is bitter and cold. Gross just gross place and food.

It makes me so sad to give this review as I have tried to support local businesses. Every time I go in here the staff is unfriendly will never smile and it takes a very long time for a single coffee to be poured. After how rude the girl was making my coffee today I will no longer be back and had to leave this review. I truly only go here on Monday’s because the other good places in LZ are closed on Mondays. Hopefully they can be more appreciative and nice to customers with a little urgency.

I got a Nitro (cold brew) because I was told that they ran out of black iced coffee. It was decent–it had that one of a kind cold brew aftertaste…nothing special. My mom got a decaf coffee with half and half, and she said it also wasn’t anything exceptional.
The coffee shop fills up quite quickly, and this makes it difficult to find seating. The music isn’t too loud nor too quiet. The shop does give a cozy vibe!
Overall, it’s nothing too fancy, and I think it’s a good local coffee shop to stop by if you’re just passing by.

Absolute home run of a local coffee shop. Coffee shops can be tricky, especially if you don’t have the right ratio of kitchen space to seating area. Stompin’ Grounds does a phenomenal job of managing both effectively. The seating area is comfortable, accommodating, and warm. The coffee is outstanding. Highly recommend if you’re in the greater Lake Zurich area.

Locally owned in Lake Zurich, inhabiting the business space of the since closed ‘Old World Bakery’ this shop has large shoes to fill.
When entering the store front you will be welcomed by a bright green counter and small selection of *local feeling* dry goods. The large lime counter top distracts from the too dark and small menu 30 feet away and the pastry case pushed to the corner of the counter.
My latte was good. Not perfect, but pretty close. Unique flavor and good quality espresso. The machines used were cheap and flavor bottles were not on display, but I can gather that high quality ingredients were used based on the rounded flavor.
I did find the mismatched and attempted juxtaposed industrial to modern French interior distracting and overly cluttered. The outdoor dinning is very nice but also cluttered.
Overall I would recommend for a decent espresso but not a cafe experience.
