The interior is clean and organized.
Ambience was soothing with traditional African music in the background.
The bar features special cocktails, beers and soft drinks.
I recommend trying the chef’s special . I went with the whole fried tilapia with plantain.
Lots of parking
Used to come in all the time. Now I think they JUST do doordash orders. No inside service because the doors are always locked during business hours.
This is the problem with Nigerian restaurants… there is no consistency and no customer service. And NO I DO NOT HAVE TO CALL TO SEE IF YOUR OPEN ESPECIALLY IF YOUR OPERATIONAL HOURS ARE STATED ON GOOGLE.
I heard great review if the food but this is my 1st and last attempted to dine at this restaurant.
First time, tried the meatpie, abacha, jollof rice, moi moi, and lamb suya. Abacha was acceptable but almost too spicy – accepted this as difference in spice tolerance. As said before the meatpie was great. However the jollof was way too oily, the moi moi tasted as though it jad started going bad, and the lamb suya was not good.
2nd time tried and figured I just hadn’t lucked on the right menu items. the akara and chicken suya. The chicken suya was inedible and I had to throw it away. The akara was unacceptable spicy – even after I had asked for mild when we discussed – and tasted as though the batter had started going bad when it was fried.
The owners seem to be incredibly nice, and I would love to support a new business, but I cannot justify the poor quality of the food. I’m sorry to say that I can’t recommend their food in good conscience – unless you’re going to get meatpie.
In all fairness, I cannot speak on any of the drinks or soups as I have not tried them, but these prior experiences don’t exactly motivate me to want to try. Perhaps look elsewhere for better Nigerian food options.
