Unique local bar! Tourist must stop here even to take pictures. Try the Alaskan beer. Not pricey! Locals come here and beer and service fantastic. Pictures of ship wrecks from the area and lots of stuff from contributors hanging on the wall. Entrance by the only light in town. Clean and comfortable. This place has history.

Great bar with great service. They also have a liquor store attached up front with some great Sourdough Cocktail Bar merchandise. They have a couple of pool table, pulltabs and plenty of seating. When the cruise ships are in it can get a little crowded but doesn’t last long as most are just passing through. I come up here every year for a fishing trip and always spend a little time hanging out here. Staff is great and very friendly. Prices are decent considering it is a tourist town during the summer. If you are in town you have to stop in and ask why they are called Sourdoughs.

Fantastic Dive Bar feel. Authentic, relaxed, just a great spot for a beer. I wouldn’t say it’s kid-friendly (it’s a bar) but had not qualms bringing my well behaved 6-year-old in a getting her a sprite.

This place was really cool. There are a lot of locals. They is no food but you can order it and sit in. I rate a little low because it is generally a bar not to many frills but I like it!

Clean bathrooms! COLD beer. Happy bartender. Locals welcoming cruise passengers. I love this bar. Walls are covered with old pics of shipwrecks (it seems people get stuck on the rocks a lot). I would love to come back.

A locals and fisherman’s bar which also welcomes tourists. The lady behind the bar was friendly and helpful. Service is good, but drinks are quite pricy, but maybe this is normal for Alaska. It has the feel of an old American bar. There is a wall of pictures, which are very interesting – collected over the years of boats run aground or on fire just mishaps that have happened over the years. We also met and chatted to some friendly locals. Would recommend stopping here for a drink – especially their local distillery gin cocktails!

Another great bar! Another bar you get the feeling of going back in time. A bar you see in the movies.
