Not only is the interior of this place beautiful, intentionally designed and modern, but the food is also delicious and authentic. I had the beef carpaccio, eggplant, and bánh xèo. I’m obsessed with the bánh xèo: it was perfectly crispy, well balanced, and hands down the most beautifully presented bánh xèo I’ve had in Vancouver.

We recently hosted a private event at this restaurant, and it exceeded every expectation. From the moment we began planning, the owner, Nguyet was incredibly attentive, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our gathering special. The space was beautifully set up—intimate yet spacious, with thoughtful touches that created the perfect atmosphere.
The food was a standout. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented, and our guests are still talking about the quality and variety. The service team handled everything seamlessly, anticipating needs before we even voiced them and ensuring the entire evening ran smoothly. Special thanks to Nam, Theo & Morgan.
What impressed us most was the balance of professionalism and warmth. We felt taken care of at every step, and the entire experience was effortless on our end thanks to their expertise.
If you’re looking for a venue for a private event—whether a celebration, corporate gathering, or anything in between—this restaurant is truly exceptional. Highly recommended!

The decor here is beautiful, floral, bright, and lively . Even their chopsticks are a nice pastel pink and blue. The food is very good. The beef pho was nice, not too salty, the noodles were perfectly al dente, and tasty. The grilled squid was also delicious and tender while the pomelo salad was refreshing. The portions are regular here. A delicious meal and solid place to eat out for Vietnamese food.

We had the tasting menu for a special occasion and as a one and done it was worth it at 55 bucks a person. Next time we go back though, it will be to try the regular menu.

So how was the tasting menu experience? The sauces is what really stuck out to is, incredibly tangy, spiced just right, truly the MVP. Also the only misstep was not telling us the sauce was at the bottom of one of our prawn dishes and that we should have mixed it first.

The rest of the experience was great. The ambiance was a little kitsch but not garish. The service was incredible on top of it; however, they managed to avoid being too much.

I would recommend this place and will be back to try happy hour sometime.

First time dining here upon a friend’s recommendation. Loved the ambiance and décor (hanging lantern fixtures, ceiling flowers, cushions, in contrast with the more retro black/white checkered flooring). Had the Vegetarian Vermicelli ($27) with spring rolls, lemongrass tofu, and grilled mushrooms. The long pieces of mushroom were a little hard to chew through, but the spring rolls were crisp and the tofu had ample flavour/marinade. The bowl was plated and garnished nicely. Very filling as a lunch! My friend’s dishes were also presented beautifully, and you can tell a lot of care goes into the aesthetic. Server was very attentive and topped up our water regularly. Price point is on the higher end, but the overall experience felt more like fine dining. Would return!

The menu options are great. The food is good but not exceptional. Can likely find better Vietnamese food for cheaper but this has more modern seating, playing and decor. Also different cocktail options available which many Vietnamese restaurants won’t have. The Bahn Xeo in particular was disappointing. Not crispy throughout and soggy in the middle. Other food was good & tasty.

The atmosphere was nice and parking was easy. The pho broth was delicious, and the spring rolls were crispy and tasty, but the noodles were overcooked and had no texture.

We were attracted by the vibe from google map review. Drink menu is the big menu and food is the small one. That’s usually an indicator to lower my food expectation. But nope, most items are very nice especially the grilled whole squid is soft and juicy. Lemongrass pork chop is very tender.

Tropical fried rice is social as well as crispy prawns.

Most servers are quite nice except for one seems a bit not happy. Table for 6 and more automatically add 18% gratuity. I appreciate the server reminds us about that when we pay the bill.

Friday Night Southern Vietnamese Cuisine at Bonjour Vietnam Bistro on Fraser Street in East Vancouver. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to try this place. Usually I’m not into places that look too pretty to be honest, but this Michelin Guide restaurant was amazing. We ordered the Glamour Girl Cocktail, Spring Rolls, Salad Rolls, Beef Carpaccio, Fine Vermicelli Shrimps, Lemon Grass Chicken, Skaken Beef & Stir Fried Beef Pho. While everything was delicious, the Spring Rolls, Vermicelli Shrimps, Lemon Grass Chicken & Shaken Beef were my personal favourites. Great Cocktails and service was friendly, attentive and quick. The pretty decor speaks for itself – great ambiance. They have a great Happy Hour menu as well. Nguyet – the owner was super friendly. Highly Recommended – Will definitely be back @bonjourvietnambistro @thefoodiecarguy

First time trying this place. I came around 1:30 a late lunch on a Sunday. It had pretty floral decor hanging from the ceiling and there were quite a few real indoor tropical plants that were large and beautiful. There was even a chair with flower decor all around it for photo opportunities. I was greeted and seated in a timely manner. I ordered the tofu rice dish and a side of broth. The food was very tasty and exactly what I wanted. Definitely will come back.
