Been here several times and its always delicious. Our server was very nice and helpful, knew what was in each dish. We ordered way too much in the end but it was all good. The taro bao were so so soft and the banana naan was like a banana crepe. Spicy beef roll was excellent and as usual the soup dumplings take the show. We also had a new dish the Mardi gras dumplings, it was four types of dumplings in Mardi grass colors great for trying each type of dumpling.

This place has a really nice atmosphere and the food has good flavor. But I had an order of beef pot stickers and beef steamed dumplings and both were ice cold and the beef steamed dumplings were completely raw like actually uncooked beef inside. Which is obviously a massive health risk and completely unacceptable and it’s a massive shame because me and my partner were really looking forward to this place after hearing rave reviews about it.

We went 9/04/25. We had Miss Georgia as our waitress, she was very kind and knowledgeable. Great customer serivce skills. I loved the food, this was my 1st time eating here and I will be back. We went during lunch, not a long wait, the food was hot and fresh. Prices was fair for the amount of food you get. The different colors of the Dumplings do not have a taste. It tastes like regular Dough.

Every single dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Fresh ingredients and getting to watch them hand make the dumplings was a great bonus.

Lovely dining space. The service was cheerful and solicitous. The manager greeted each diner. Maybe we should have looked up what the most popular dishes were. The food was just ok. Pepper beef and Spicy Chicken with Garlic Sauce looked beautiful; but both were bland. The meats and vegetables were cooked to the right consistency. But both came out lukewarm and lacked flavor. Will give it another try because maybe we hit on an off night.

This place has some of the best dumplings I’ve ever had! The coconut shrimp is a must-try — crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The noodle soups are not only delicious but beautifully presented. The inside of the restaurant is just as impressive, with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommend this spot for anyone who loves great food and a nice dining experience!

Just discovered a hidden gem in Lafayette — Dumpling Hour and it did not disappoint.

We had the beef dumplings (next-level), pork stuffed dumplings (juicy and flavorful), and sipped on sake which they a few flavors .

From the food to the vibes to the insanely kind staff… this place is a whole experience. If you’re in Lafayette and haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out.

Took the wife and kids here for dinner and I can say that we are impressed! Nice portions, large menu, amazing cuisine, family friendly environment! Highly recommended!

On our table this evening we had the Q-BAO, Pork Steamed Buns, House Chow Mein, Orange Chicken, and Coconut Shrimp. All winners in our opinion!

Staff was friendly and checked on us an appropriate amount of times. They were ensuring our experience and their food was to our satisfaction!

Whether you’re a local or traveling from out of town, give this place a try!!

Saw this spot in Lafayette, LA on TikTok and decided I needed to give my own go at it. Location in a shopping center off Ambassador, easy to get to and lots of parking. Tastefully decorated with a BIG menu. We may have ordered too much . Service was super fast and had the table full within minutes of ordering. We got a mix of Pot Stickers, Soup Dumplings, wings, Pork Buns and Egg Rolls. I forgot pictures of some but the table was literally covered. Everything was so good and full of flavor. Highly suggest getting many options and if you need to (like us) get a to go box… or 2!

Came to The Dumpling Hour and ordered an egg drop soup and a hot & spicy soup — both already overpriced to begin with. I get back to my vehicle and realize the fried wonton strips that are supposed to come with the soups weren’t even in the bag.

So I walk back in thinking it’s just a simple mistake. Instead of fixing it quickly, I’m told the wonton strips are “extra” and then had to stand there for 10 minutes waiting for them… for something that was clearly already pre-made. I’ve ordered soup at countless places and have never in my life been charged separately for wonton strips with soup.

For a place charging the prices they do, the service and attitude were incredibly disappointing. It honestly feels like the Foodies of Lafayette hype has gone straight to their heads. Basic customer service clearly isn’t a priority.

Needless to say, I won’t be back.
