A HIDDEN GEM! Finally after many attempts I was able to consume some of the best food in a friendly, attentive, clean and comfortable manner. The food was without par! My meal was so big that I could only eat half and took the other half home to make sandwiches, yes multiple sandwich’s that night! Very tasty and lean hamburger steak smothered in onions! Fries cooked to perfection as well. Great service and a very comfortable dinning area loaded with antique toys and nostalgic pictures. A bit off the beaten path but well worth the short ride from downtown Scottsboro, AL. I look forward to a return visit.

We were looking for a mom-and-pop restaurant and found this place. We really enjoyed it and the people were fantastic. The food was really good. Very nice located no traffic and we got in and out pretty quick. I would highly recommend it.

By far the best burger I have had. The moon pie banana pudding was also way better than I thought it would be. The waitress was very friendly and the store was much bigger on the inside than it looked on the outside. Lastly, the bathroom was very clean! Great all around experience.

These reviews have to be from local supporters who advocate for mom ‘n pop businesses, regardless of the service or food quality. I got a chicken sandwich and it was burnt badly. The owner told me “chicken is chicken”. Sandwich, fries, and drink were $20 but she said chicken is chicken and walked away and said she’d go get her husband. After 10-15 minutes her husband still hadn’t came out to address it. By the time she asked again, I’d already eaten what I could of it and just told her it’s okay. My brother got the hamburger steak and he never complains but did admit to me that it was very bland. Too high of prices to get bland or burnt food and be ignored for being honest. It’s only fair that I also mention the owner’s kid was running around handling food on everyone’s tables and just being a kid – but still. The atmosphere is still a key factor with so many choices to eat now days. Maybe you will like it here, I’ve been three different times over the last year and it has only gotten worse with every visit. Third time is a strike out for me – I’ll move on to better options. I can recommend KC’s BBQ if you want better prices, better service, and better food quality. It also offers a great atmosphere on the water. Hoping some honest feedback helps either them or you. Haven’t stopped for a burger here in several years but glad we did! My son and I had the cheeseburger baskets. The hubs ordered the hamburger steak (it was a huge portion) also comes with a salad/roll. Also treated ourselves to the moon pie banana pudding. Delish! Only thing I would change is the fries were a little unevenly cooked other than that a great place to stop for a tasty burger!
