I’ve been coming to this bakery for about 18 years, and while the food and flavors are good overall, the main reason I keep coming back is for the niño envuelto bread and the champurrado. They are absolutely delicious and consistently great. I highly recommend trying them if you visit — they’re definitely the highlights for me.

Stopped by about half an hour before closing for coffee and some pan dulce. Coffee was piping hot and bread was very fresh. Service was super friendly and we didn’t feel rushed at all. Nice relaxing end to the day.

My all-time favorite pan dulce is an empanada de Calabasa which for some reason aren’t made at all panaderias. THANKFULLY this spot has them along with all the other delicious Mexican sweet bread and some out of this world breakfast sandwiches. I made sure to stock up for the weekend and am currently doing my yum yum happy dance as I enjoy one with my coffee.

I just came for a Rosca de Reyes today, January 6, and here’s my honest opinion: it does not taste anything like a Rosca. Doesn’t have that orangy taste. The toppings were all misplaced, like they were in a hurry and put them there quickly without worrying about the presentation. HOWEVER, the bread has a good flavor, nice moisture, and is not too sweet. I’m glad I bought a small one because it was not what I was expecting (for this specific dessert).
