The Mansion Society have the sweetest baristas EVER!! Sadly, I do not go very often due to distance, but every time I do, the baristas here make you feel like I am their best friend. Not to mention their iced vanilla latte was one of the best I’ve ever had!

My wife, daughter, and I visited Mansion Society after seeing it on social media. As avid coffee lovers who’ve tried 10–15 shops around Indy, we were excited to check it out.

The space is a great first impression, set in an old hospital with a warm, lively atmosphere and strong coffee shop energy. We arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday and it was busy but not overwhelming. Seating is communal.

Barbie, one of the owners, was running the front and was incredibly kind and welcoming. We ordered a cappuccino, a bread and butter iced latte, and two sandwiches (spicy BLT and the French croissant).

Unfortunately, the wait was the major issue. It took 25ish minutes for our drinks and nearly 30 more minutes for our food. These were very simple orders, and the total wait time felt excessive. Barbie kindly offered us a Nutella croissant for the delay, which we appreciated, but the wait was still far too long. We also noticed most patrons were experiencing similar delays.

The coffee was very well made (8/10). The food, however, was underwhelming for the price — simple sandwiches and mass-produced chips served in a cappuccino cup didn’t match the premium feel they seem to be going for.

The shop felt understaffed, and while Barbie was fantastic, she appeared overwhelmed juggling orders, drinks, and food running.

I really wanted to love this place. The ambiance is unique and the staff is kind, but waiting close to an hour for two drinks and two basic sandwiches makes it hard to justify a return. I wouldn’t recommend this spot if you’re in a hurry or value quick service.

Marvelous experience! The cafe is adorable. The nice woman working was so warm and inviting! And the two coffee drinks we got with oat milk were delicious and just the right temperature. We will definitely be back to try the new vegan food options:)

Neat coffeehouse with a unique history and ambiance. Needed a place to get some work done and stumbled upon this hidden gem. Fantastic service, banana pancake latte had just the right amount of mild sweetness. Great drip coffee. Will definitely return if on the area.

Delicious drinks and fantastic service. We got the winter seasonal banana pancake latte and dirty carrot chai. You’ll have to stir the drinks when you get them. The baristas were super personable, and the atmosphere was perfect for a cafe.

Probably one of the nicest family owned coffee shops in indy! They’ve got a homie vibe, they’re so creative with their creations and they’ve got great customer service. Barbie did an amazing job accommodating our big group of friends and the owner was very helpful. Highly recommended!!

Came in on a Saturday so expected it to be busy. Surprisingly there was only a couple people in line in front of us. We stood in line for nearly 15 minutes, the woman taking orders was also making orders so maybe they were short staffed. After the long wait, I ordered a French press coffee which is a permanent menu item. The cashier said she did not know how to make it and she was new. What surprised me is that she didn’t even try to ask any of the other people working if they knew how to make it or could help. So instead, I ordered a drip coffee (big mistake).

After another roughly 12 minute wait, our drinks were ready. The drip coffee was absolutely horrible, worse than instant coffee at my hotel haha. The other two drinks we ordered were good. The croissant we ordered was also good.

Overall, a very disappointing experience, we won’t be back.

Lovely little shop! The energy and vibes here were great! I just sat at a table, drinking my coffee and taking in everything. It’s family owned (from what I gathered) and the staff was helpful, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Wait time for food was a little long but considering that it’s only 3 people working and having worked retail I understood.

Unexpected spot for great coffee! It has great personality and friendly service. My Cubano was perfect and I loved the cute glass it was served in. These unexpected touches make Mansion Society stand out from the rest.
