We had one mission on Koh Mak. The mission called “taste the duck” was accomplished in this restaurant.
They serve you the delicious famous duck soup and believe me, you will be back for more.
The service is friendly and appreciates the customers all the time, each time we visited I found the portions a bit bigger :).
Everything I had was great, definitely RECOMMENDED!!!

probably my fav Thai restaurant in Thailand and been living here for 20+ years. the flavor and taste of all the dishes I’ve tried here over the years are always on point.. yes sometimes there can be a bit of waiting time if there’s many tables before you .but they always tell and all dishes are made on the spot. they might be a bit more expensive then main land..but realize the owners only have a few busy months to make all their money for the year .so am not sure where the bad reviews come from cus for me and my friends this place always delivers with quality and with a smile . love it there

Nice place. Good food. We had the northern Laab or larb, Thai dish which is only currently served in a couple restaurants on the island. We asked for spicy ️ version which was accommodated. The serving was a good portion and the taste was very good. It was lovely with the sticky rice. For koh mak Thai food it was on the resort side of pricing. The hot pot is a definite go try. It’s an experience to share with more than 2 people and delicious!

For us it was the best dinner on Koh Mak!
We were there twice and both times it was outstanding!!
For us, the spicy cucumber salad is a must as well as the coconut curry shrimps.
But also curries / pad Thai etc. is great.
The service is perfect and you can feel a family business flair.
Highly highly recommended!!
Thanks for the delicious experience.

One of the best meals we’ve had during our 3 weeks trip through Thailand. Everything was cooked fresh, Pad krapao was proper spicy and the best i’ve ever had. Highly recommended.

Amazing BBQ! It’s a family restaurant and the mum is cooking fresh food all by herself. Don’t come if your are in a hurry.

I’ve been in Koh Mak for a month and this is one of the places I often go to eat. The food is delicious and sizes are good too. The have a large variety of Thai and Issan dishes, along with western options. I’m pescatarian so I have not tried their duck soup, however other people have said that it is very special, a must try. Come here with time, because they prepare everything fresh, so let them work their magic while you enjoy a fresh coconut or a fruit shake, which are delicious. I had green curry talay (seafood), som tam (papaya salad), pad thai kung (prawns), fried calamari, green mango salad and deep fried fish. All of which I would have again.

Small restaurant making the best food in Trat, and some of the best food I’ve had so far in Thailand. The fruit shakes here are also the best I’ve had after having had shakes in several different restaurants in the trat islands. Serving sizes are also great. Must go in Koh Mak.

All the food was great, even though the menu is surprisingly large. It even includes burgers (which I didn’t try). The shrimps were fresh and crispy, the broth in the duck noodles was clean, and the duck meat was very tasty. The salad had a nice citrusy flavor. The service was very polite.

This place is a must try went on the island. All the food is cooked entirely by one woman alone so be prepared to wait a little bit but it’s all worth it cause the food tasted amazing. Do not miss to try the mango sticky rice.
