Came here on a whim craving sushi and it’s delicious!! Staff are so attentive and personable, the interior is really cute and it feels like your in hidden away in a sushi den! They have a small parking area but there’s street parking too. Prices are comparable to literally any sushi place I’ve been to so you’re not paying more for a better cuter restaurant, experience. Will be making this a regular place I go to!

I took my wife here for Valentine’s and we kept ordering the Tuna Nigiri because it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The inside is beautiful and took me back to Japan, and the staff move together like they’re family.

We stopped by here for dinner and overall had an enjoyable experience. The staff were beyond friendly and personable, and the environment was very relaxing and chill. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars because the staff greeted them by name.
The food was just okay, in my opinion. I’m picky when it comes to Japanese food, and while I liked the dishes overall, they didn’t stand out from other restaurants I’ve visited. I’m willing to go back and try other types of dishes in the future, though.

My favorite Japanese restaurant – I started coming here in 1979 when I attended CSUS, and I come back whenever I visit my hometown. My favorites were chicken karaage, tempura veggies, and maguro. It’s fancied up a bit since I first ate there, but the food is the same, always fresh and delicious. Service is no-nonsense but friendly. It’s a Sacramento icon and I sincerely hope they re-open soon.

We got there shortly after they reopened for dinner service at 5pm. Started with an order of unagi that was the worst I’ve ever had. It actually looked and tasted like it had been left over from the lunch service.
For the entree we ordered the special dinner for 2. It was all pretty good.

I have been coming here since 1980. I am always disappointed when I have Japanese food anywhere else. This place is far better than the others. Salmon terriyaki is awesome. Many really good sushi rolls too. Someone once told me salad is just salad. I told them they need to try a salad here. You won’t be sorry.
