My husband and I had dinner here for our Valentine’s Day date.
Bruce took care of our table and did a great job talking to us and answering questions about the menu.
Appetizers came out quickly and entrees not too long after. We shared the apps and a couple bites of each other’s entrees.
Everything we had was delicious. The Mac balls were the best I had at a restaurant, they were so creamy inside.
Steak sandwich had a great flavor and I really enjoyed my lobster rolls.
This was our first time here and we already want to come back and try a lot more.

So, weirdly, I used to work at this location before it changed owners a handful of times, so it was funny and “weird” to walk into a restaurant that I used to work at and see it completely different. But that weird point aside, I enjoyed my meal from here. It was good and well-made.

It was late Friday night, and I had just gotten off work, and wanted to grab something to eat on my way home, and this place came to mind. I knew that they had an extensive menu, so I figured they would be able to satisfy my after-work cravings. I was tempted by the Asian food, but just wanted something simple, and a spicy chicken sandwich often speaks to me, so I had to listen. However, I will be trying their Asian food the next time I visit!

While they offered many options, I opted for the spicy buffalo chicken sandwich with blue cheese crumbles. The chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection. I think that had a good sauce-to-spicy-ratio, and the blue cheese crumbles were a nice touch as well.

The fries were also very well seasoned with salt and pepper and they were simple and delicious and there was a massive amount of them, so we love that!

Overall, I would come back here again and try more of the menu, and maybe next time dine in and have a cocktail and an app!

Every time we eat here, the food is fresh and delicious. I love how they open the inside to the outside—the ambiance is truly amazing! I’m not sure why others feel differently, because the staff is phenomenal. The young lady with the heart-shaped glasses is so knowledgeable, and her dish suggestions are always spot on.

Another huge perk? They stay open late—and there aren’t many restaurants serving food this good at those hours. The menu has plenty of variety, and the drinks are excellent too. Go to restaurant for my husband and myself. Highly recommend you try this place now!

update: Will never be back. we dined in and the pad Thai was not good at all. There was no consistency in quality and we expected better food dining in. The pad Thai was lacking any flavor or sauce and could have been day old reheated leftovers from the taste and look of it. Then there was the absentee service. The server was on his phone the whole time and we needed extra napkins for wings. I was previously impressed by the pad Thai, but I have serious questions about the lime. Who decided to put that nasty looking lime wedge on my to go order? Luckily, I had a good lime at home and I’m not grossed out easily. It was clear that whoever made the actual food did a great job, but this lime should have never been included. It was my first time here and an online prepaid order. I did not automatically add tip so maybe someone was upset and put a nasty lime in. The pad Thai was some of the best Ive had in the area, so I hope they can do better with condiments and extras next time.

I want to share that prior to leaving this review I reached out to the restaurant to provide a chance to collect their thoughts and see what they had to say. I’m leaving this review after not hearing back. Seems that our experience may not matter.

We were excited to try something new! We used to eat at Hopp’s at this location and this was our first time eating in the new restaurant. Came in about 6:30 on a Saturday. There were two other people we saw other than ourselves. We sat at the bar to eat and have some drinks. Originally we had planned on spending time here trying multiple dishes and having drinks. After experiencing what we did, I quit eating my food and didn’t order anymore. Just paid and left to go elsewhere. We ordered our first round of drinks and food orders to try. Our food came out and not too long after starting to eat, we notice that the bartender starts eating off a plate and then licking her hands and sucking her fingers off. She then continues to handle food, make drinks and go in the kitchen without washing. We were immediately disgusted and quit eating and she even used her hands to put a flower in my girlfriend’s drink so naturally she’s disgusted having drank something made with non hygienic hands. I had no one else seen nor a chance to say anything to anyone else and this certainly was disturbing! It also is not something we were going to say anything to the person doing it. We were shocked! As we are processing this then the bartender starts vaping inside and exhaling right in the area.

We paid our tab and left feeling outright disgusted and the food was mediocre. Sadly a truly disappointing experience here! I chose to not put pictures of the bartender up doing this out of respect. I did take some in case I heard back from management. If for some reason they deny this happening I will be sure to post them on this review as it certainly did happen and was our reality!!

Update; I can see that it doesn’t matter about our experience to you or that there is anything productive said. You simply share that the employee is no longer there. This response has no care, empathy, relation or concern. That certainly doesn’t make us want to come back again especially since that’s all you have to say.

I come here a bunch after work and I have to say it’s a great place to relax and wrap up your day. The staff are friendly, the food is AMAZING and it’s got a laid-back vibe that a lot of places don’t have. I have to shout out Annye for being a great server and being the life of the bar. I don’t often talk to others when I’m out and taking my daily notes but she gets half of the place chatting like old friends.
I usually get either the Pimento Burger or the Mushroom Swiss and an “I’m Glad it’s (Current Season)” subbing in Malibu.

Listen, this place is FOR THE CULTURE. Some people see a place with a wide extensive menu and say, “What do you specialize in?”. These guys specialize in special feels! I will say that their thai fried rice is some of the most savory and delicious fried rice I have EVER had. This is coming from a guy who regularly stores away leftover rice to make fried rice at home at least once or twice a week.

So, while I stayed in Winston, I hit them up two nights in a row. The first night, I was exhausted from work and accidentally fell asleep from 6pm-10pm. Woke up worried I wouldn’t be able to satisfy my late night cravings for food. Welp, these guys were less than a mile from my hotel, in a very safe feeling area. Open til midnight! So I had a chance to really chill, order food without the anxiety they were closing at any moment, and I got to watch an NBA game and place a little Fanduel bet.

The outside vibe of the patio and lighting is vibrant yet understated. Inside, you have the choice of table dining or chilling at the bar.

Both nights, I sat at the bar and two different bartenders kept my cold beer flowing and gave me some highlights of the menu. All in all, in two days, I had two orders of wings, three orders of fried rice and an assortment of skewers/gyoza. I got an extra order to go on my last night to bring to my girlfriend down in VA…and although I made it all the way home with it…temptation got the best of me and I ate it all before I could share with her.

All I can say is if I lived in Winston, I’d be up there on the REGULAR. They have a wide menu, but everything I have tried so far beckons me to satisfy my curiosity and try another dish.

Oh yeah – I didn’t really see it advertised anywhere, but I was delighted to find Tuesday evenings is $2 off draft beers.

Go ahead and give these guys some love, they deserve it and they aren’t faking a vibe. Lots of respect for this establishment that represents a certain brand of experience and delivers without exception. Bravo guys!

I came here on a Friday around 11:30am with two other people. I was able to find parking in the small lot right outside the restaurant. We were sat down almost immediately and I appreciated that the hostess was accommodating when we wanted a different table type than we were originally offered. Our waiter was nice and was quick with bringing out drinks. My drink order was a sweet tea and you could tell it was freshly made. I ordered the Mac and cheese balls and really enjoyed the balance of crunch with the smoothness of the Mac and cheese. The sauce that came with it had a bit of a kick to it and I enjoyed that contrast. I ordered the Thai fried rice at a 2 hot scale and it was wonderful. The chicken was so tender and juicy. My two friends also greatly enjoyed their meals. I would come back again and bring others. The restaurant shape is very unique and I feel like it could fill up fast on a busy evening. I did see signs of an option to reserve a table online. Overall, so glad I finally got to check this place out.

All these bad service reviews and I really don’t understand it. We were greeted as soon as we walked in, and again by our server who came and sat us right away. I think her name was Maddie, if I remember correctly. She was wonderful! Funny, polite, went out of her way for us in every way necessary.

The food – perfectly acceptable portions for price points, good flavors, tons of options. Not a single complaint.

Parking – I HATE driving around winston. I hate parking in winston. They had plenty of parking available if you are able to make the 10 foot walk from the upper parking area as well as spots in front of the restaurant as well.

I don’t understand the hate. I have ordered delivery from here and it was amazing. This was my first time dining in and I really enjoyed it. I’ll be back for sure!
