We had a really good time here overall.

The seated seafood selection is the star of the show – fresh oysters, white crab, and a wide variety of sashimi that definitely felt a step above a typical buffet. For an extra $4, you can add a lobster tail, which is a nice bonus. Ours was a bit overcooked, but still enjoyable. Sushi was fine, though a little rice-heavy.

One thing I genuinely loved was the mala tang station. You pick your own ingredients and they cook it right in front of you – fresh, interactive, and a fun change from the usual buffet setup. By the way, you can also get yourself a fresh steak cooked, same station with the lobster tail.

The space itself is big and nicely done, with multiple dining halls and even a large TV in one area, which is great if you’re trying to catch a game while eating. Everything felt clean, including the plastic cups, although the strong chlorine smell made them impossible to drink from.

A couple of things hold it back from being a higher-end experience. Kids running around the buffet and food stations while parents are eating or watching TV really needs better control. And at just over $50 per person with the lobster, the price sets expectations for a more polished, restaurant-level experience.

All that said, the seafood selection, meats, deserts (including chocolate fondue), layout, and unique mala tang option make this a solid 4-star spot that’s worth checking out.

Yo, this place kind of nice tbh. They’re pretty great at keeping all of the buffet items in stock. The dim sum, malatang, and hibachi here are all actually really good. As is their glut of drinks selection. Their fresh buffet items are a bit rough. Their fried and coated Chinese items are good. The sashimi ranges from flavorless to meh. There’s actually one good sushi roll in their selection. The dessert selection is profound too for those with a sweet tooth. They have fun items to include with their chocolate fountain. I really enjoy the fact that they just include their 8% service fee instead of asking for tips. Easy and straightforward. There will be long lines most of the time and, while there is plenty of parking, at times, it’s not enough. One of the best buffets I’ve been to though.

I would gave 5 stars if Eel sushi roll, wider walk way.
Selling point for me is Malatang, great experience. Will definitely visit again. Love the 8% tips upfront pay. Bayarea tips culture is getting out of control imo.

Very pricey, we went for lunch and paid $96 for 3. Had a variety of Asian cuisine and drinks. Gratuity was factored into the price but other than being sat at our table there wasn’t any wait service. Food was good, not great.

East Bay Buffet in Dublin is a seafood lover’s playground—fresh, plentiful, and hard to pace yourself. The variety is impressive, from buttery mussels and juicy shrimp to crispy fried bites that mysteriously refill your plate. Everything tasted well-prepared and constantly refreshed, which is clutch for a buffet. The space is clean, relaxed, and perfect for an unhurried feast

Came here after seeing a local foodie rave about this place. Well everything in that short 60sec reel was well really everything there was to rave about. Like when u watch a movie preview and looks awesome u say ‘I gotta watch that!’ But all the best parts were what was highlighted in the movie & the rest of the movie was boring. Lots of esthetic feel to the place INSIDE. Outside looks like a dinner attached to some low budget motel. Selection is minimal. $39.99/ per person on a Wed. dinner seems steep for what’s offered. Although the Ramen bar where they make it for u was delicious. Well we tried it and can check it off our list now.

I tried out this place today.

You payed at the door, the bill come with an 8% service fees, which was like $2.62 from the $26 lunch + an the $2 tax. Pay up front was weird, unless they have alot of no pay/walk out kind of situation, but since Dublin is a nicer, possibly more wealthier area, I thought it was strange. Too bad, because I was gonna tip them 20% for the quick clearing of my plate by the busser, and how clean they kept the place, but there was no option to tip the way you want there.

The place was kinda small comparing to the other asian buffet in the bay area, so there wasn’t alot of selection of food, but the quality of the food was not bad. The seasoning seem to be on the less sodium side, which is fine to some cultures and ages group.

Their chow fun was not bad, even thought it was err on the less sodium side. The beef stripe was not bad. The pork spare rib was moist, but need more seasoning, may be oyster sauce, ginger, and white pepper.

I did not get to try their honey comb beef stew, nor their egg yolk bun on a Tuesday. Also they did not have any oyster at the time, BIG TURN OFF. This is what bring people to buffet, but they missing it, no noO.

The sushi, the only thing that I care for is the sashimi and nigiri, but when I got there, they only had one piece of snapper nigiri left, NO SASHIMI. No one seem to touched the roles. No one care for the roles.

They refilled the nigiri tray with salmon, and snapper on my 3rd run so there was some degree of hope. The salmon, and snapper nigiri was fresh, a bit thick on the rice ratio, and the rice was err on the soggy side, but it was still edible.

The marinated snapper with jalapeno was a ta bit fishy, but nothing some pickled ginger and fake washabi can’t fix.

At the cold bar, there was some fresh cold crawfrish, there was actually some degree of sweetness left, and the meat was actually still bouncy. My only wish was that they have SNAIL, and OYSTER.

For the chinese food, I like the mayonaise shrimp, and the spicy pork rib, even though the pork rib could use a ta bit more salt. And how come THEY DONT HAVE FRIED CALAMARI.

Ofcourse I ate some green bean, and mushroom.

The seafood soup, and the miso soup was also good.

The deserve did not called for my attention. Could of make some banana/jackfruit lumpia or sticky rice with mango and coconut sago sauce, or even taro with sago soup would suffice, but NOPE, THEY DID NOT.

I wish they have some hot tea to wash the food down, but all I saw was sugary drinks.

I left after 4 small plates of food, and 2 spoons of soup.
