Decided to hit Marylou for happy hour and it happened to be teacher appreciation with 93.9wkys showing love. The food was delicious. From the cornbread to the rasta pasta. The drinks didn’t disappoint at all!! Happy Hour prices, quantity and quality is on point. Shout-out to Toya for holding it down with it being so packed and orders coming in every direction.

Went for dinner the other night as I live in the area, I was alone and sat in the bar area. Staff were very friendly and service was good.
The food is served on a plate with plastic cutlery which was a turn off based on the menu items. I had catfish with fried rice and green beans. The fish was well seasoned. The fried riced and green beans tasted old and the green beans were cold in the middle as though they were warmed up.
The vibe is more of a bar/lounge as the game was on and there’s a DJ. I think I may return for appetizers only and not entrees.

Came here on a Wednesday during happy hour. First time here. Place is right next door to Martini’s Restaurant and Lounge. Had reservation for 5:30 but came a bit early (5:15). We were told by the manager that we cannot be seated untill everyone shows up but she allowed us to sit at a 4 person table. Place has a live band setup but unfortunately the day I visited, they didn’t have a live band playing. There was a juke box that played music. We were given the FULL menu which had both regular price and Happy Hour prices. My friend and I ordered the frozen swirl margarita which the waitress had asked if we wanted the single flavor or mixed flavor. Not knowing each cost $10 for the swirl (even though the menu the manager gave showed happy hour prices $5) we ordered 3. Ordered fried shrimp, hush puppies, mac-n-cheese, taco shrimp, Caesar salad and more. The fried shrimp came with only 4 shrimps ($8), Hush puppies came with 6 ($7), mac-n-cheese ($7), Caesar salad ($10). Everything was good besides the mac-n-cheese. Too much cheese which was too salty or it could’ve had a lot of salt (not sure). Our waitress was pretty fast with bringing our drinks and food out. When it was after 7pm, restaurant got a bit busy. More of my friends showed up and service wasn’t up to par. It took awhile for their food to be brought out. She was the ONLY one serving EVERYONE with no help. Bathroom wasnt cleaned. Whole bunch of water on the ground like there was a leak, one of the toilet bowl seat (two stalls) were literally about to fall off. Got our receipt and ofcourse there was a discrepancy on the frozen margarita. Waitress said they were $10ea which she didn’t disclosed and we weren’t aware because we were given a full menu which again had full prices on oneside and Happy Hour prices on the other. We thought the “margarita” was considered the frozen margarita for $5 as the menu did not say “Frozen Margarita”. We called the manager and it explained but all she said that they were $10ea and that was on the menu. We asked her where, she pulled out a “smaller menu” that was supposedly the HAPPY HOUR menu which that menu was never given to us but given to my friend who showed up after 7pm. We also mentioned that she was the one (manager) who seated us and ONLY provided the bigger menu. The manager didnt take accountability or adjusted the charges but just said “Sorry, frozen margaritas are $10ea”. Will not be coming back. Food are overpriced for the amount given and for HAPPY HOUR, service was very slow after a certain time and the manager didn’t take accountability of something that could’ve been corrected but it wasnt.

The service was amazing which was only outdone by the amazing food. Each food item was well prepared and tasted amazing. Our tabled order sampler platter, lamb chops, salmon but, and lumpcrab fried rice. Great portions and served hot and all well prepared.
Drinks were really nice even the happy hour drink options were great.
Music playing was primarily R&B , but around 6pm a DJ came on and played song to Dance to until the band completed their set up. We didn’t see much of the band but for the 20min we did catch they were fire too.

I recently visited MaryLou’s Restaurant with low expectations but was pleasantly surprised! Krisha greeted us warmly and checked on us throughout the night, even when we returned the following week. The seafood salad is one of my favorites along with the salmon bites. The staff was incredibly accommodating, ensuring we enjoyed our meals and the live bands. Highly recommend this gem for great service and tasty food! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Krisha, Jasmin, India HELL even the head cook, were ALL so very nice professional folk with the upmost in customer service / hospitality… Because of the staff/food/ bands, that has brought me back to Marylou’s 3 additional times and will CONTINUE to patronize this establishment!! Love my girl Krisha, and hostess Jasmin they Always take care of Gigi and her crew of ladies❤️❤️

This place calls themselves a restaurant but they prioritize the loud go-go band everyday of the week over actual food customer service. On a Thursday night, we walked in at 7:45pm and requested a table to eat and they told us all the tables were pre-sold and good luck finding a table. This was told to us by the white manager with the glasses! I was in disbelief and asked, are you serious? We just want to get food! And he stated yes and looked at me & stated yeah we charge a cover charge at 8pm for the band. I was disgusted and annoyed! I really enjoy their pasta and could not believe we could not get a table an hour before the damn go-go band even arrived. I will not be returning and if you prioritize food over music, I would suggest the same.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, the vibe was nice. There was a mishap with our food BUT Crystal definitely came and assisted with making our experience a better one. Kudos to her, she is such a pleasant person and great manager. Thank you, we will come back.

If your in Fort Washington MD check Marylou’s out. The service was fast customer service was great and our waitress was very attentive.The atmosphere was nice with live DJ and band.The owner Stephanie checked in on us asked how service was. She was so glad to hear everyone smile and say “The food was great”! See the pictures below from the salad, the Whiting fish and salmon BLT, fried shrimp, mac cheese, greens.yummy….The Margaritas were on point.We will be back!
