I recently visited the Dunkin’ Donuts located inside the Walmart at 2101 Gateway Center Dr on Sunday, August 8, 2024, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired.
I ordered a simple hot coffee, but it took over 10 minutes to be prepared. During this time, no updates were provided, and the customers behind me were served before I even received my coffee order. I had to walk up to the counter and ask for my coffee, only to find that two associates seemed unsure of how to help, despite an empty cup sitting right in front of the coffee pot. It took a third associate to finally get my coffee ready, but to my disappointment, it was only lukewarm.
When I asked why the coffee was not hot, I was informed that this was how they serve it. While they did offer to make a new one, the associate’s response was quite indifferent, and there was no acknowledgment that the coffee might not have been served at the right temperature.
It seems that the staff could benefit from additional training, as they appeared uncomfortable handling a busy influx of customers, leading to unnecessary delays and a less-than-pleasant experience.
Going forward, I will be visiting the other Dunkin’ location in Belvidere instead. If the Walmart location doesn’t step up its game, it wouldn’t be surprising if more customers start opting for the second location as well. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements.

Food and drinks have always been great. My only complaint, if you will, is mobile orders taking priority over in-store customers. It would be nice if they had a dedicated employee to take care of those, at least during the busy times, ie: before work and lunch time.

Always understaffed. I hate how I have to wait behind 10 people that want to order food . My coffee takes less than 30 seconds to make but I do not want to place an online order and have my cup sitting in front of everyone. Dunkin should consider an automated process for customers who want just a quick coffee.

Ordered Dunkin through Door dash today, awful. The egg, sausage,cheese wrap which shows in a tortilla wrap, came in some white hard shell, smaller than a taco at Taco Bell. I ordered potato rounds, I got 6 little rounds. Not worth the price I paid. The roll I wanted was out of stock I guess, they replaced it with a chocolate donut, with chocolate frosting, and Caramel drizzled over it, except the caramel ended up all over the paper and paper bag. I then ordered an Iced Coffee, with cream, coconut shot, mocha, and sugar. The coffee was so strong couldn’t taste the coconut or mocha, and I don’t think they added sugar. Now don’t get me wrong, I like Dunkin donuts, I’ve been to several different ones and never had a problem. But, this one was so bad I will not go back, it was a waist of my money.
