I’ve driven by this place so many times and never stopped. I live not far away but with so many Mexican options, just never took the time. Well, I’m glad I did! My friend and I were going to WiggleRoom for an event and decided to grab dinner first. Our server was super attentive, on top of everything and the food was DELICIOUS!! The beans are some of the best I had and the pork tamales were stellar. Moist and flavorful! Even the next day when I heated up leftovers, they weren’t dried out. And they know their way around a Paloma!! Nothing fancy ambience wise. Small little spot, good Latin jams and a mini dive bar! I’ll definitely be back!

Ventura’s tacos are definitely in contention for A Tier in Milwaukee and just short of S Tier. Pastor is excellent as is the steak and appreciate avocados that are green and not off color.

The star of Ventura’s are their Chips! These are S Tier in Milwaukee but their salsas are probably not going win over the average person. Personally I love their orange salsa… well done! This shit is drinkable and leaves me wanting more.

Don’t skip on the Tacos

Sadly, they changed their chips. New chips are now standard chips found everywhere else. The might we were there last, June 19, the chip were cold and seemed stale. The old chips were always hot, slightly greasy and just reality good corn taste.

Enchiladas where quite good and smothered them in the orange sauce!

Stopped in for lunch and wasn’t disappointed! Salsa and chips were on point. I had the 3 enchiladas with rice and beans, and a tequila old fashioned for a drink. Definitely worth a try if your out in the bayview area!

My husband and I are loving this place so much! It’s near us we can walk there, the place looks nice and clean, you can have indoor and/or outdoor seating. Chips and salsa are good, its menu seems very different from what you usually have in other Mexican restaurants in Milwaukee, I like that!
Staff is friendly and we haven’t had to wait a long time for our food.

I enjoyed the food at Ventura’s. My Pollo con mole was excellent, much better than I expected from this tiny offshoot from a taco truck. Everything was fresh and homemade, including the delicious chips. Ventura’s chimichanga, an American-Mexican dish, was also made in-house and was tasty. Our server was pleased to take care of us and enjoyed our compliments. We finished our meal with a flan that I enjoyed, but my wife thought was mediocre. She’s picky, though, and we have a friend who makes her own flan, which is out of this world, but she lives in CDMX, so who cares? I had a great meal at Ventura’s and shall return. Prices were reasonable.

My go-to Mexican restaurant! Tasty food, reasonably priced and great service, highly recommend! They have great margaritas, chips and salsa (and guac) and a nice patio. My favorite thing on the menu is the chicken chimichanga and the al pastor tacos

One of my new favorite places for Mexican food. We got the chips and guacamole, elote, birria with rice and beans, and a burrito. So much food (even my husband had leftovers) and all for $45. Service was amazing, too!

Best Hispanic/mexican food in Bay View. Their chips and salsa are fresh and homemade and so delicious! Everything here is amazing whether you dine in or take out. Only negative/thing to consider is that seating inside is minimal and close quarters!

Food was absolutely disgusting quesadillas was soaked in grease, rice was hard still and elote corn smell horrible. It had expired cheese or mayo. I wouldn’t recommend to eat

We did takeout & ordered chicken tacos dinner, shrimp nachos, and the chimichanga dinner. Everything was SO good and FRESH. Restaurant was very clean, and the women working were very nice. There is a bar inside, so definitely, if you have the time, stop and dine in. This was our first time in, but we will definitely be back.
