This place is a hidden gem! I was impressed with the friendliness of the staff, the service, quality of food and atmosphere. It was all good! We had the smoked prime rib French dip it was awesome! The house made desserts are off the charts.

Just found this place on a drive for leisure. Went in expecting butchery and stayed for a really great tasting Philly and onion rings. The menu was meaty as one might expect. College football on 2-3
screens. A bar that looked well stocked. And there was in a good display of available cuts of meat that appeared high quality. The serving staff was great. The place got very busy as mid afternoon kicked in. Prices were a tad high but it’s that way every where. That was one great Philly!

We ate Saturday night. Prime rib was perfect. Our friend had Porkchop said it was the best one he had ever had. Hamburgers was delicious. Appetizer had loaded tater tots and pork rinds with pimento cheese was delicious. Oh that banana pudding was on point! Waitress Mary was absolutely the best. All around good atmosphere We will definitely be back again.

We ate there for brunch, meal was fantastic. We also bought some swordfish to cook, tasted fantastic. We bought chili to go, best I’ve ever had (even better than my own ). I can’t wait to try the Brunswick stew we got. I’m sure it will be as great as everything else. We also bought some sausage meat I can’t wait to try.

Our first time here. We try couple of appetizers we like the wings and the nachos were not bad. For dinner we had the trout, ribeye and pork bbq sandwich. Trout was good and the ribeye not bad and the pork bbq sandwich was ok. The beer was great. We Definitely Be Back!

I had the pimento cheese double smashburger with bacon & jalapeno. The burger meat wasn’t smashed and didn’t really have much flavor.

The pork skins were awesome. They have cheerwine so that’s another plus. I will try it again but not the burger.

The service was amazing from being seated at our cramped table right beside another couple 6 inches away-was not impressed with that at all!
Sho usually don’t do burgers because I’m a stay gal but since the reviews were high I went with the double smash burger with mayo (which I had to ask for), ketchup on the table, onion (which I had to cut up), lettuce and tomato!
Burgers weren’t smashed at all
They had no flavor at all, was given watered down tea and refilled with watered downed tea, the fries were ok but don’t like those with a burger. Coming to a butchery I was expecting steak fries not the bettered fries that crumble to pieces.
The food was less than par
The service she was great
Don’t know if we will do a second take on this restaurant/butchery
Definitely won’t buy meat from there priced way high! Mays meats way better prices

My buddy and I road-tripped from South Carolina to Highlands Butchery after discovering it on YouTube—and it was 100% worth it. What an awesome experience from start to finish.

We both ordered the double patty smash burger, and it was outstanding—juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavor. The coleslaw was spot-on too. And the bourbon selection? Hands down the best I’ve ever seen anywhere.

The bartender was personable and incredibly knowledgeable without being overbearing—exactly the kind of service you hope for.

Now for the best part: the steaks. I took home two ribeyes, and they were legitimately some of the best steaks we’ve ever had—and I’ve been fortunate enough to eat at some of the finest steakhouses in the world. Absolute home run.

The butcher was also fantastic—friendly, experienced, and clearly knows his craft. My friend asked for a specific cut (picanha), and not only did he know exactly what we meant… he had it available and cut it into five perfect portions on the spot.

We’ll definitely be back soon. Highly recommend!

I have to say I was very disappointed… had the pimento cheese burger. It was mediocre at best. Burger had no flavor. Pimento cheese was good. Fries were cold and just like any other frozen fries. The cream brûlée was not good at all… it was cold, like came out of the fridge cold and tasted like over sweet lemon drops… my husband had a burger with onion rings. His burger was tasteless also. Onion rings were very good. He also had the Oreo cheesecake it was just ok. We were both excited to try it but not sure we will be back…

Excellent experience! We chose the option of selecting our own steak from the butcher shop, and then sitting and eating in the restaurant while they cooked it as our entree. It came with two sides as well. You pay market price for the steak (whatever is on the label in the cooler area) and then you pay an additional $15 and it comes with two sides and they cook it and serve you there. Best steak I have had in a long time. Cooked perfectly and very tender and juicy. I got the ribeye. The staff were super nice as well.
