What an amazing Tavern! In the middle of wine country sits the most amazing place for family and friends. Atmosphere, hospitality, tap selection and unique custom steam punk style. We are gonna make this a frequent hang out. Thanks Carlton & Coast Tavern what a great place.

We stopped by on a Monday on our way back from a long weekend at the coast. Before our group left, we were already figuring out what future outings could be decided to incorporate a stop by Carlton again so that we could revisit. Excellent and creative taplist with something for everyone. The food is fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. You must get the epically, almost comically large pretzel to share. All artistic touches (including the intricate tile work) was done by the family. Even if this wasn’t a beer drinkers’ oasis in the middle of wine country, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Great place for a huge beer selection, friendly bartender, atmosphere, outdoor seating (by the sidewalk), and their INSANELY AMAZING pretzel!! I have never been a pretzel guy, but this is so good! I think they deep-fry the gigantic thing! I will go out of my way for it again!

Great potential but falls short!
We have gone here now 3 times as we wanted to give it an honest try and review!
Each time we went it was pretty much the same. I loved the beer selection, but not much else. The food wasn’t great, and the music at times was so loud I had to shout to talk across the table.
Nachos were so salty I couldn’t finish them. The fish tacos were just OK and fish smelled a little off. The pulled pork lacked that crunch from the slaw and felt mushy.
Pros: Waitress at counter was nice, beer selection was good, and overall vibe was ok.
Cons: Food was just ok, ambiance was loud and less personal, and I had to serve myself. You have to go to the counter as no takes your order.
The beer and food prices are a few bucks more than other places in town but you get less service, food quality and ambiance.
For me I wont be going here again!

Great tap selection and atmosphere! Nice and relaxed feel. Fewer options if you’re vegetarian but we just combined the hummus plate and pretzel to make it work. The pretzel is very tasty too!! Highly recommend it with your favorite beer
