Feel free to eat anything spicy as both our meals were suppose to be spicy and we got almost no spice at all. The chicken was a bit crispy, but not what I would have expected from the reviews.
The cream cheese wontons are nearly flavorless and so fried they are like eating chips.
She wasn’t friendly or attentive at all. Waited quite long to have our orders taken. She never checked back after bringing our food. The food was hot, but nothing special. Sweet and sour chicken was good. Sesame china’s bland and chewy.
We got our own to-go boxes rather than wait. Not very impressed with much of anything.
Yesterday, I ordered the Chicken Chow Mein lunch special. I had never tried Chow Mein before, and the menu didn’t have pictures, so I looked up the difference between Lo Mein (which I love) and Chow Mein. I’ve attached a screen shot of results, as well as a screen shot showing the difference between the two.
But Chicken Chow Mein at IK is NOT Chow Mein. Instead of fried noodles , they do some kind of weird boiled cabbage dish.
When I took it back, the lady practically yelled at me that it WAS Chow Mein. When I asked where the noodles were, she said there aren’t any noodles in Chow Mein. I wanted to switch my order, but she said that all the old people in town love it and I should try it.
It’s too bad, I was a fan. But being yelled at about what I ordered is the end. Real customer service would have replaced the dish with something else or given me a refund.
I got the delicious trio with noodles. There was so much i had to take half home because i couldn’t eat it all. It was delicious! A perfect blend of sesame and garlic on the noodles and the vegetables were cooked to the point of still being crunchy. I was hoping to eat my leftovers for lunch the next day but my wife finished them off for supper.
Steamed dumplings for the win, they were Delicious
