Shoutout to India Garden/India Palace for a great refreshing change in their decorations and foods. On 2015, I came to eat here and I wasn’t impressed. And recently they changed name from India Palace to India Garden along with change of decors as well. Maybe change of owner and chef as well? I am not sure. All I know, I am back here on 2018 and definitely impressed. Almost everything taste absolutely amazing and they have a lot of food options for lunch buffet. Love the Dhal Tadka, Chicken Tikka, Samosa Chat, Channa Masala, Pakora, etc. So glad, I gave this place a second chance. I will definitely come here more often. Husband was also impressed by the Saag, samosa chat, and Egg curry among other things. The okra dish was wonderful as well. My keast favorite meal is probably the biryani that was too milky for my taste but might suit others taste better. The buffet comes with free Masala Tea as well. Really impressive, India Garden.

Best lunch buffet in town — we’ve probably eaten here at least 100 times. The daal, chana curry, and chicken tikka masala are always good. It’s clean, the seating is nice, and the service is great. Kaji took over a couple years back and it has been excellent ever since.
UPDATE, 6/22/17: Restaurant was sold a few months back, and some of the dishes were changed — the naan and daal are still great, but a couple of the dishes have lost their flare (flavor) in the process, e.g. the chana (chickpea) curry and tikka masala. On the other hand there’s a new semolina dessert that is quite good, worth trying. Still love the seating and ambiance and service.

The menu showed lots of promise. Sadly my carry out didn’t hold true. I was overall disappointed with what I ate. I ordered butter chicken. Essentially an easy starter dish for Indian food but I find it a great judge to first try out an Indian food restaurant. Kind of like pad Thai at Thai places. If this dish doesn’t hold up the rest probably does not either.
I must say that my butter chicken seemed less than flavor filled. It was thicker than expected and almost artificially red. I ordered the appetizer sampler and the chicken was dry and the fried items very soggy. In fact my butter chicken was also very dry and considering it’s prepared in a sauce defies logic that it was dry and tough.
If you’re looking for Indian food here in the south if look elsewhere based on my experience. The only plus side I found was that the service and welcome was quite good, I just wished the food met that piece, in fact he customer service is what spared this review from getting 1 stars.

My husband and I have eaten at many Indian restaurants across the states and this is the most authentic and high quality we have ever had. The buffet is amazing and they don’t skimp on the meat. The naan was the best I’ve ever had. The owner is very friendly and funny. He even encouraged us to eat more or package some up. We would eat here every day if we could!

Fantastic Indian restaurant! Went there, had never had Indian food before. They hooked me up with an AWESOME drink and some spicy lamb and chicken (only after they asked if I liked spicy). Super nice waiters. A real authentic experience!

Edit: 4/2019; I just realized I hadn’t updated this review, but India Garden is permanently closed.
India Garden is quite possibly the best Indian restaurant I’ve ever had. There’s a wide variety of foods to try from naan to chicken curry and much more. Ended up trying a little bit of everything that they have in their buffet. The service here is very good too. We were immediately seated upon arrival and our server had our drinks out in no time. During our meal they had made fresh naan and brought it straight to us from the oven. The decor inside is good as well. So if you’re looking to try somewhere new I definitely recommend going to India Garden. Hands down the best Indian food in the Madison/Huntsville area.

I eat at Indian restaurants around the country, it’s my favorite thing while traveling. I live here in Huntsville and have tried every Indian restaurant in the area. This place is the best in town. Buffet and dinner both.
While not my favorite in the USA, definitely my favorite in a 100 mile radius. I’ve made an effort to try them all.

I’ve been to 3 Indian restaurants in the Huntsville/Madison area & this is by far the best one. The food is very flavorful, great variety on the menu, & they play Bollywood music on the TV (which is always fun to watch). The service can be slow but honestly, the food is so good, it doesn’t matter. I’m just glad that I found a place that served traditional Indian food that actually tasted like it should.

I have been to most of the Indian restaurants in the Huntsville/Madison area and India Palace has the best lunch buffet.
I honestly believe all of the other restaurants have given in to complaints of the food being too spicy where India Palace has spice but not enough to turn most people off.
You have to give this place a try cause you will not be disappointed.
