I love this place. You won’t believe there’s such an authentic Vietnamese restaurant in such a small town. We got combo pho, grilled pork noodle salad, and some stir fry at different times here. All the dishes are very authentic tasting and they also gave you soooo much food!! Particularly the pho broth, it’s sooo great because they even added beef tendon and handmade meatballs which other places don’t give at all or use supermarket bought meatballs. Everyone is friendly here! I missed it already.

Food was great and the renovation changed the atmosphere of what I use to know as Huddle House(except for the floor, red trimming entrance, and bathroom area.) The food was great a bit upsetting that they did not have the boba for the thai tea but it’s okay. The main entrees seemed to have some with too much rice. They have been very busy ever since they opened. Upon arrival the entire restaurant was full had to wait for someone to leave to get a seat. Overall great business for a town like Lockhart but if business continues to be booming like today they may need to make more space for customers who want to dine in.

I ordered the chicken fried rice and grill pork and egg rolls vermicelli. The chicken fried rice is dry and the rice is under cooked. It is kind of bland but they give you a lot of breast meat which is a plus. The vermicelli is pretty good. The portions are big and staffs are very friendly. It is nice to have them closer so I do not have to drive to Austin.

Delicious! Don’t let the outside scare you aware. You’ll be sorry. We had the Chicken Fried Rice and Phô Tom (Shrimp) and they were both great. I ordered at lunch time, to-go and received my food within reasonable time. Both items we ordered were HUGE for the price we paid. Sorry- I couldn’t catch a pic of the pho before it was devoured.

Really good. The noodle dishes are wonderful. Delicious, flavorful, and plentiful. The hostess, Crystal, is delightful. You feel you have all the attention in the world. Your drinks are always topped off. I’ll be going back to work my way through the menu.

Went here today for the first time. Ordered Beef garlic plate and dumpling appetizer. My daughter ordered orange chicken. All the food was really good (I liked my daughters better, next time….)
We sat and ate, the interior was light and clean. Staff helpful, friendly and speedy.
If I was going to fault anything it would be the cost for a can of coke ($1.75) so next time we will just order water. Definitely plan to go back!!!

The Orange Chicken and the General Tso’s chicken are awesome. It’s always hot, crispy, and has great flavor. Their fried rice is also delicious. It’s pricey compared to other Lockhart restaurants, but this dish could feed two people.

We love the food at Pho Hong, the staff is extremely kind and friendly. This would be a 5 star rating if we only ordered take out. However, dining in is a nightmare. While I appreciate restaurants that let you sit wherever you feel comfortable, however this is a small establishment and a lot of the business is to go orders. This causes a problem when you have a 6 person party, you come in and all of the large tables have a smattering of people not dining in, just waiting for to go orders. The space would benefit from having just a to go order seating area against the wall near the register. On top of that, the staff is so limited, that the two people who are running the register and taking all the orders, are also the only people taking orders and serving the dining area. To go orders are prioritized over the dining room, which means you could have been seated and waiting on your meal, and three to go orders that came in after you (came in, ordered, got their food, and left…not phoned in an order) all get their food and leave before you even get a refill on your drink you have been nursing for 25 minutes. Refills on water…or really anything…require you to ask or go get it yourself (they have pitchers of water and tea by the register). Basically, they need two wait staff for the dining area, one person behind the register that does nothing but take to go orders and cash people out, two cooks (one for to go orders and one for dine in customers, each helping the other if things are slow for one side), and a person to bus tables and do dishes. I really hope that they fix a lot of the issues with their system, because we want desperately for them to succeed. However, we have witnessed multiple people walking out of the dining room because they either didn’t get seated, waited for 20 minutes after being seated without anyone ever coming to take a drink order, or literally getting passed over for other people that came in after you. For now, my suggestion is to get to go food, you’ll be prioritized over everyone else and get to enjoy the amazing food without the negative dining experience.
