Have never actually been to the restaurant but have ordered quite a few times (I still had to pick stars for “service” and “atmosphere”…I have no idea). Always excellent food and good portions. I am diabetic and I find it hard in this town to order diabetic/keto/low carb meals that are still tasty. With a little research I always seem to end up with something delicious from Dawaat.

The whole restaurant spell like kitchen . I order take out again turn out to be very little portion of food. Each box was not even 200grs of weight. Chicken tikka was more like garnish and cabbage looks like main course . Sad not worth $$

Let’s start with the history of Dawaat. The owners owned spices Indian restaurant back in the days and sold the restaurant and left town. Spices was a great restaurant until it was taken over by a new family. Spices Indian restaurant’s service and food quality has since dropped and they stoped serving certain meat items.
The original owners now have returned and opened Dawaat Desi Cuisine. The taste of the food is impeccable and outstanding. Everything is freshly made to order and all food items are prepared in house. My favourite appetizer is samosa chaat and for the main course Beef Seek kabab and Naan Bread baked in a clay oven (Tandoor). I have tried almost most of the menu and I couldn’t complain once. They have a variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian options. Mango Lassi and Milkshakes. Dawaat also specializes in Indo-Chinese food and Afghan food. The service at Dawaat is great and our favourite Server is Dill Preet. The atmosphere is not overall done but does have a clean and lively atmosphere. Overall i’m very exited for the return of previous owners and I’ve been going 3-4 times a week for dinner and lunch. Ish a just try and the best hands down Indian Pakistan food in Fort Mcmurray!!!

Let me write it descriptive.
1) place was good and plenty of space available.
2) good hygiene
3) food taste is good and quantity is more than enough.
4) only two customers were there and still it took so long to deliver the food
5) food was oily but tasty. That was same in curry and chaat.

Name any dish from the menu and they won’t disappoint you. Coming to Fort Mac and getting a 5 star food was something I never imagined.
Their prices and customer service was excellent t. Dilpreet served us really good food. Even though I could feel she is tired working the whole day but she was always smiling and serving us the best food I could ever imagined

Great selection of food but very spicy. We ordered mild for Indo Chinese and hot sauce on the side. Rice was extremely spicy for being mild not sure if that’s a standard level for spiciness. Starters were flavourful and chilli chicken was delicious.

The food is always really good or I would say the best Indian you can find in Fort mac. However, they can do better on their service- the lady at the front is mostly struggling with the online orders, Walk ins and Dine too. I believe they really need to put two people so there’s not only one person running around.

The food was AMAZING! The staff was great! Went on a 1 week road trip with some colleagues and this is the only place we ate for dinner. Every dish we ate was just amazing *chef’s kiss *. The Owner and Dilpreet (and the last lady we saw) gave some good really good service that we will never forget

Dined in at Dawaat Desi Cuisine and ordered the Chicken Biryani on a buddy’s recommendation. Unfortunately, it was disappointing as the dish was overloaded with whole cloves, cardamom and other spices, making each bite overwhelming and altering the flavor. The server was too busy to attend us properly, and our table was unstable. Lots of room for improvement.

Definitely the best Indian cuisine I’ve had, or equal to. Prices are excellent. Shahi Paneer is not on the menu, but they have it and its to die for. Even the wife is a picky Canadian and loves eating here since there are many options. I also have celiac and have not had any issues here (and believe me I know).
