What a hidden gem!! We stopped in today for lunch and was so impressed by the food, service and value for the money. We had lunch hibachi (one shrimp, one steak) and a Philadelphia Roll. I was concerned based on other reviews that it would be pricey, but the non-lunch pricing seemed VERY reasonable.
Our waitress was extremely attentive, and welcoming. I’d eat here all the time if we didn’t live at the lake, but so thankful we have a new spot when running errands in Athens / Watkinsville!

Best sushi I’ve ever gotten. I’ve never had sushi (except for the Publix stuff). Menu is good ig. This is actually the second time I’ve been here. Last time I got their ramen, and it was good like a 4/5. I’ve had better, but their are definitely worse places. The server told me that the sushi was pretty customizable, but we didn’t really customize it so idk. We got spring rolls and they were good, but neither of us have anything to compare it to. Rice when it’s in the sushi is amazing, but not when you get something with rice. This is georgia so their arnt many places like this, so if I wanted sushi I’d go here. We did have a 20 min wait, but they were pretty busy and the owner wasn’t there today.

Nice surprise. Definitely a 5 star experiance. We were looking for a place to have lunch and boy were we delight at our choice. Wonderful cooked hibachi steak and chicken fried rice. Great soup and salads with super fresh ingredients. Lunch portions are generous, prices are very reasonable and service great. Nice decor and background music. Parking could be challenge, but don’t pass this place up.

Our family loves this place! We enjoy the regular menu as well as the sushi menu. The sushi is the freshest we’ve had anywhere! We often ask for “chefs special rolls” and they always amaze us! This is definitely one of the best restaurants in the Athens area.

I had a friend give me a gift card here and I wasn’t disappointed. The staff were super nice and the sushi was good. We went the following night to one of our normal chains’ new locations and should have just saved myself the extra 30-minute drive and came back here.

Very happy with our order. Orders a bunch of different sushi rolls, hibachi chicken, and it was fantastic. The fish quality was very good, my sushi roll was fried wonderful and it all looked great. My family devoured it and we all were very happy with it.

My family and I love Oyishi. We get it at least once a week, and we enjoy it every time. The staff is so kind and does their best to be attentive, even when it’s busy. The food is always so delicious. I personally love the spicy tuna roll, the gyoza, and the chicken teriyaki!
