Always friendly baristas and great coffee. They do a fantastic job with special requests and specially drinks. Can be slow when they have a long line, but otherwise just stopping in for one or two coffees is a pretty quick stop and off you go.

Gotta Hava Java Coffee hut is a charming, budget-friendly coffee spot nestled at the entrance of the beautiful town of Stevenson, Washington. Gotta Hava Java Coffee is a cozy little spot I have visited many times. Lately, it’s become my go-to coffee shop, and for good reason.
What keeps me coming back?
*Non fat milk lattes. Surprisingly, many coffee shops don’t offer this option, but Gotta Hava Java does. *Affordable pricing. They have the cheapest coffee in town, making it a great spot for a budget friendly caffeine fix. *Consistency improving over time. I have noticed some inconsistency with the syrup measurements – sometimes too much sometimes too little. But after frequent visits, I have found they usually get it right, and my lattes have been mostly great.
One downside: their dual-lane setup. On one visit, after patiently waiting in line, a car pulled up into the other side and was served first, which didn’t set right for me. I ended up leaving because I believe first-come, first-serve should be the standard. (Sometimes, there is a person on each side, but this was not the case at this time.)
On a sweeter note, they always offer a treat for my pup, which he absolutely loves! Another rare touch-they don’t ask for tips and won’t take one unless you explicitly tell them to keep something for themselves, which isn’t the norm these days. Overall, Gotta Hava Java is a charming and economical spot that’s earning its place as my regular coffee house.

Great baristas and well-made coffee and baked goods. Open 7 days, really appreciated in this part of the Columbia Gorge where there are few coffee options. My favorite stop on the Washington side. No indoor seating, but a small covered outdoor area for two.

That employee was so sweet and fast, even with a huge line, and she still chatted with me! The view was amazing, and that coffee? Best I’ve ever had! Seriously, 11/10, I’ll *always* recommend it. I got an Easter special from the April menu. Great prices, too.

This place!
The cutest storybook looking coffee shop I’ve ever seen! It’s about the size of a photo mat. Look it up kids, it’s a thing from the before-fore time. The green paint contrasting against the warn brown, finished wood trim is perfect. Even up close the construction is clean and sharp. There are two little places to sit on the porch that’s decorated with potted plants but it’s so small only the operator fits inside. She’s got everything she needs in there. They sell quite a few different flavors of coffee and smoothies with shots and syrups, muffins and biscuits! We had blueberry muffins. They must get them from someone nearby baking these things for the town. They’re perfect! Warn, soft and just sweet enough. I don’t even think she uses a microwave to warm them.
The lady who served us comes complete with an accent. I won’t venture to guess whether it’s Australian or New Zealand.
It’s takes a bit of time to wrangle it all together but it’s worth it.
