Ordered: jerk chicken with rice and peas, with curried goat gravy, mac and cheese, sweet plantains, an extra side of cornbread, and rasta pasta. Every single thing was deliciously seasoned and well-worth the money. Lasted several days due to excellent portion size. I ate every crumb.
The sweet plantains were unique in their flavor compared to every other sweet plantain dish I’ve had, possibly the best I’ve ever eaten. The flavor of the cornbread reminded me of a Panera lemon drop cookie, which surprised me, but I found it uniquely delicious. The jerk chicken had a delicious, perfect smoky taste with fall-off-the-bone meat. Jamaican food is my favorite kind of food, and Nyammins seems to stand out with some unique and innovative flavor combinations you can’t find anywhere else. Everything tasted real with soul behind it. I can highly recommend this place and will be ordering again in the future to try the other dishes.

I thoroughly enjoyed Nyammins! I ordered through DoorDash the first day and had to try it again because it was so good. I went to location the second day and the gentleman that was there was very nice. I loved the Pineapple Ginger juice!! I could drink it everyday and if I could order and ship to my house I would!!! Lol I got Oxtail with sides it was very tasty! My 1 1/2 daughter loved it too. Lol If they have red velvet cake order it! It’s sooo good. I was a little sad they didn’t have it the second day that I order but I got the sweet potato cake which was good as well. I was on business trip but if I even visit area again, I would definitely order again. ❤️

Let me tell you, I’ve lived in Lakeland for 7 years and always complain that there is no good food here(I’m from Miami ) . I’ve ordered here twice and they do not miss!!!!! My 1 1/2 year old love their collards too so y’all know its real. Also there portion size is crazy you can eat for two days. WORTH EVERY PENNY!!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! The food is a winner every time! The staff is always really nice and are super inviting people. I went today and noticed they’re not letting people eat there anymore but I can’t blame them, clean up after yourselves!

Absolutely exceeded my expectations some of the best curry goat I have had.
I got their 25 minutes before they close instead of being rude and they’re nothing but super friendly let me know what they have left had my order super quickly made great recommendations.

Nice little spot, not a fancy spot but they trying they best it seems to make it hospitable. Had large brown stew chicken and it was above average. Great portion size. My only downside to my meal was my patty being burnt on the bottom. At 3.50 a pop left a bad taste in my mouth about the place

I’ve never been to Jamaica, but I’m willing to bet, Nyammins is the BEST authentic Jamaican food you’re going to find in FL! I’ve tried several local Jamaican restaurants in Polk and surrounding counties and none of them compare to Nyammins! Nyammins frequently puts out spectacular food! Everything I’ve ever eaten from Nyammins has been excellent, ALWAYS fresh and delicious. Their passion is evident when you eat their food, you can taste the love in every bite! Whether you’re in the mood for some of their fall of the bone oxtails, juicy jerk chicken that’s out of this world fantastic, or better yet, their turkey wings that leave you daydreaming for days Whatever it is, I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed! Definitely give them a try!

I have reviewed alot of food establishments. Nyammins Kitchen and Grill has the best tasting meal I’ve even had. First I had a sampling of their curry goat and chicken. Both were amazing, but I was interested in the ox tail. The owner made me a plate of ox tail, rice / beans and collard greens. The ox was perfectly cooked and it fell off the bone. The rice and beans along with the gravy off the ox tail mixed together wonderfully. The greens were perfect, not overly salty. I will definitely be making continued visits here. 10/10.

Oh my gawwd did I locate the best Jamaican place. I was looking for a new place to try and Nyammins did not disappoint! I’ve tried different places around central Florida but there’s no doubt this is by far my favorite!
When you arrive you will be greeted by the sweetest of souls, Geovaughni. Since it was my first time there I went with his recommendation and he even gave me a sample to try before hand. He wanted to make sure I would enjoy every bit of my first meal with them. You can tell they put love into every bite and are passionate about their service. Everyone is so beautifully inviting, friendly, and it just feels like home.

The portions are definitely shareable, as everything pictured is there smallest size (medium/half portion on menu). There’s so much flavor in every bite! Do not pass on the cornbread either. Trust me you’ll probably want two! It’s slightly sweet and goes wonderfully with this dish.
10/10 recommend this amazing place! Stop in, share a plate with a loved one or keep for left overs for later on. I can’t wait to go back and try something new! Also parking is around back at the light on Martin Luther King Jr Ave! I already plan on stopping in again next week! Thank you guys for here!!
