Upon arrival it is a very calming atmosphere and the smells are amazing!!!! The person i was with had the sweet and sour chicken which was very crunchy and flavorful. The sweet and sour sauce tasted homemade and complimented the chicken very well. The chicken dumplings had the right amount of chili oil in them and it was not too spicy for me. I Had the Pineapple Chicken and I mist say it was some of the best I’ve ever tasted it was sweet and crispy although it was heavily glazed in this sauce that I could practically drink lbs….I asked for a personal sauce for the road…they were very accommodating…Will definitely be back 10/10‼️

There’s something special about a restaurant where you can feel the heart behind the food, and at Jasmine Asian Bistro, that heart is Lanlan. Her warmth and hospitality bring authentic Chinese flavors to the Midwest in a way that feels both refined and deeply personal and is delicious.

The fish entrée was perfectly cooked, tender, delicate, and beautifully balanced with fresh ginger and a light, nuanced sauce that enhanced rather than overwhelmed. It’s that restraint and confidence that make a dish memorable.

Jasmine is proof that authentic flavors, thoughtful technique, and genuine hospitality never go out of style. Louisville is lucky to have it (and her).

Lots of flavor in this meal. Started with flavorful Egg drop soup and followed by Crab Rangoon and Egg Rolls both above average and nice golden brown. Kentucky sushi roll was large with an interesting combination of ingredients and not too spicy. Very filling. Shrimp with noodles tasty and filling. Fresh brewed tea and friendly personal service.

I look forward to a return visit to try other sushi rolls. They have an extensive menu so be prepared to spend time studying it. Lots of sushi choices and standard Chinese fare with fresh ingredients.

Update 7/10/25
Had dinner there again and it was excellent as in the past. The Kung pow chicken was good and not too spicy but just right. Service was a little slower than normal but still OK. It’s a good place to go for Chinese and sushi and reasonable prices.

When I first walked in, the smell of the restaurant was interesting and hit me in the face. But I moved past it. I ordered the grilled teriyaki chicken. The food did take a while to come out. While it did not taste “grilled”, it was amazing. Broccoli was AMAZING. Normally places don’t seem to understand that steamed = soft but this place got it right! 10/10, would recommend. I will definitely go back. I don’t know why the place smells so strange, like old cleaning supplies mixed with dirty water or something but excellent food and excellent service, so just move past it if you are looking for an Asian place to eat that isn’t the typical Chinese take out vibe. Quiet, friendly atmosphere. Cant say enough good things about the food. Portions are great too.

One of the best Sichuan food that I have had. Probably the best in Louisville. My friend took us for a special occasion. We were not disappointed. The food was too good to be true. We ordered 4 dishes. Each and every one of the them were delicious. All the people of the store were very nice and courtesies. The pork belly and dry hotpot with seafood were the ones I liked the most. Quantity wise one plate should be enough for two people if you’re dinning in…

Update:
The dine-in dinner closes at 9. But they still offer take out till 9:30.

Ok I was torn between a 4-star and 5-star review but with the generosity of the servings, the 5-star win.
We ordered soups (they were simple and ok), chicken pad Thai, pork belly, schewan chicken and spicy shrimp.
The shrimp was my favorite, cooked well and tast. The pad Thai was a little dry but better when I was able to mix it (the dish was packed full) I thought the pork belly was the best flavor. Overall very enjoyable and even more so, good sized servings.

The food is good at this little Asian restaurant- everything is fresh and flavorful.
I usually get a light dinner- an Egg Roll, a cup of Wonton Soup, and a kid’s meal of Beef with Broccoli, all recommended.
Service is pretty efficient, but not particularly friendly.
The menu seems to be mostly Chinese, but they also have Sushi.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant with an authentic menu of robust flavors in Asian cuisine. Ranging from spicy hot pots, to cold cucumber, to onion pancakes and saucy dumplings, we always finish our meal happy and satiated. And the Chinese sausage fried rice is one of my mom’s favorites! Jasmine is a little out of the way for us, but well worth the trip. If it were closer, Jasmine would be our weekly go to restaurant.

My only negative is we found this place on vacation so can not come back weekly.

The flounder and sliced tofu in spicy sauce melts in the mouth

The crispy duck had the perfect crunch and was aromatic with curry

My father inhaled the general cho’s chicken before I had a chance to try

We had 4 sushi rolls, a volcano roll, lobster roll, crawfish roll, and one other that I missed the name on.

Everything was delicious and the leftovers will happily be devoured

Ordered this place to go for the 3rd time today. Finally leaving a review ! This place was fantastic. So far I’ve tried the cumin beef (superb), the peanut butter chicken (great sauce and flavor), the twice cooked fish (delicious), and the pork belly (also great). The food was full of flavor and not the typically sugary tasting cheapo Americanized Chinese that I’m so used to. The flavor was inspiring because it made me realize that there are a lot of new dishes that I’ve not experienced. The meats were all very tender and full of flavor.

When I picked up my order it was hot and fresh. The lady at the counter was friendly and gave me tips on future orders. Great experience and will definitely be back!
