The food and service are outstanding, with each dish showing real attention to detail and true French flavors. I usually stay away from raw preparations, yet the steak tartare completely won me over and ended up being one of the most memorable bites I have had recently. It is a wonderful choice for quiet dates and special celebrations.

It was an ok place. The waitress was really nice and pleasant.
The owner got the bottle of wine and uncorked it at the table, had us try it and we said it was too bitter. She then said we had to drink it due to her uncorking it.
Then, the owner walked by our table with a large bag of trash. We’re not going back.

We made our reservations for outside and arrived to a beautifully set table out front. It was clear early on that this restaurant has a very special feel to it. The inside is comforting and everything is authentically French- from the wall paintings to the thorough wine menu. All the food served looked exquisite and tasted so, too. The attention to detail is what makes this restaurant a stand out. Very enjoyable dining experience!

The food and service is simply amazing, with carefully crafted dishes that showcase the best of French cuisine. I’m always hesitant to try raw meats but the steak tartare is one of the best things I’ve tasted in a while. Highly recommend for intimate dates and anniversaries.

Beyond words. I’ve never used this word to describe a restaurant before but it fits: magical. The food, the friendly service, everything. Even the prices are affordable compared to other French restaurants! Just amazing. If you want a Real French Dinner, eat here. If you are reading this–just eat here. You’ll see. The scallops were fantastic. Great presentation. The onion soup not great. Not enough onions, cheese, or crouton. Weak.
Complaint is a $7.90 plate sharing charge. Wife and I always share an entree. 2 dinners are just too much food. A small plate charge ($2) for the actual silverware service would not be an issue. $8 is a bit much. We bought a bottle of wine as well so the bill was about $90 without the sharing charge.
Check Collette’s out for yourself. First time we were there. Won’t be back.

One of the best restaurants on the Gulf coast! I have enjoyed dining there for almost five years and finally had to celebrate them here. This is a very small, cozy gem with ambiance to spare. Clever maxims on the entry wall, sultry furnishings- perfect for a romantic or celebratory gathering. The food is exquisite! My photos include the delightful goat cheese salad, a pleasure in every bite. One of the best Duck Confit I’ve ever had anywhere- the meat so tender and delicious! And to finish- a Chocolate Mousse fit for royalty! Yes, my reviews are always so positive because I only review those places that I truly enjoy!
P.S. Superb bread and herbed oil (or soft butter), and, very hard to find, fresh ground pepper at your table! Wonderful!

Outside of Burgundy, one of the best French experiences we’ve ever had. Truly authentic, very attentive, along with a fantastic wine list. If you are ever in Belleair Bluff/Clearwater/Tampa/St. Pete, Chez Collette’s is highly recommended.

There is no place that we prefer to go to more than Chez Collette! Since 2019 we have dined here dozens upon dozens of times each year and we keep finding menu items that are cooked to perfection! Because it’s small and so perfect I worry that the world will discover the perfect place the locals know about too quickly. Nicola has the best wine palette and prices his exceptional wine list so well.
