Typical small downtown main st restaurant fare with Cajun offerings. The Jolie burger was great, definitely recommend it. The fries were kinda soft and soggy. The croissant french toast was also tasty. Good service and live music 11-1.

Taking an early morning drive down I-10 while headed to Texas and googled for breakfast places. Talk about a score. The food, service, atmosphere and learning more about my LA history was amazing. I had Mama’s Breakfast plate, while my husband enjoyed French toast. Of course we shared food and everything was very satisfying. Tante (Aunt) Marie was a win for me.

Wow! I was floored! The best food! The best beignets I have ever had (prior to
It I thought it was Cafe Du Monde in New Orleans) . Shrimp and grits , a must try! Super friendly service. Great atmosphere

Quick to seat, food was great, inside is very open so the conversations carry really well sadly but outside of that it’s very cozy

We went for Sunday lunch and loved the atmosphere! The service was so-so, went in the back door by parking lot, and was told to seat ourselves. It took a few minutes for any to recognize we were there.
Our waitress asked, “You seat yourselves?” Well, yeah, we did, we were told to…. lol
The food was amazing! Bottomless mimosas and grilled shrimp and fries fish. BONUS THERE WAS LIVE MUSIC!!!

5-12-24 approx. 10:30 came to this eatery for the first time
I enjoyed the Big Breakfast! Everything was exceptionally great at this restaurant for breakfast.
The beignets are the REAL DEAL!!!
I was almost reluctant to order them, but I was so pleased that they are the authentic beignets with no corners or substitutes made (like what became of Cafe’ Du Monde’s beignets).
Ms. Stephanie was our waitress, and she was so pleasant.
The only negative part was the cranberry juice that I ordered…was NOT cranberry juice. It tasted like a glass of vinegar with lemon squeezed in it.

Went for dinner with my wife in Downtown Breaux Bridge. Very quirky coffee shop vibe, even for dinner. Nice live music. Good local beer selection. The pork skin nachos were fantastic. They clearly read their reviews because I saw a review with the recommendation to surround the pulled pork with the pork skins, which is exactly how it came. Good portion size. We also had the boudin sliders and sausage sliders. Good and simple appetizers. Staff was not the fastest but very friendly and worked very well in the environment. Loved it and we will be back.

Everything was just meh and I felt like it was overpriced for what you get. My hubby said the fries were soggy. Gumbo wasn’t very good and had sliced chicken in it that looked grilled. Weird. The bloody mary was ok and the boudin egg rolls were ok too. Waitress wasn’t great. Loved the musicians that were playing though.

I’ve been here before and it was excellent. However, this recent visit was awful! I will not be returning. The boudin bejgnets (which was the WHOLE reasonfor going) had barely any boudin in them and the dough was not cooked all the way through. We should not have been charged an extre $3 when there was barely enough boudin for 1 bite. The cajun potatoes tasted like they were from a couple of days ago, not fresh. The grits were blan and had a crispy crust on top as if they were sitting under the heat lamp for a while. Such a disappointment after convincing my boyfriend to go there for months.

The live zidaco style music was a warm welcome to the authentic Louisiana diner. Upon entering you step into the lifestyle with wall to wall history, unique collections, and local regualrs enjoying their after church Sunday meal. The staff is quick, efficient and friendly. The menu here highlights the local cuisine with the from scratch flavor being the key ingredient. The benigets are crispy on the outside yet fluffy inside and have a nice balance of sweetness. The chicken biscuit gravy is bigger than it appears in the picture, definitely a full meal. The handmade biscuits are perfect for soaking up the skillet gravy that will take you back to grandma’s in one bite. The kick of flavor of the chicken strips along side the crispy skin makes a delicious combination with the biscuits and gravy. The crossiant French toast with seasonal fruit was good but unfortunately this is where a star was lost due to the meat flavor transfer from the grill. My wife does not typically eat meat and the lack of it on this dish is why she ordered it, so for it to have the meat flavor on the crossiant and the strawberries ended her meal. We will definitely try this place again and highly recommend.
