Great food great place to sit down and enjoy your food. Meats are delicious but the star of the show for me was the Cornbread best ever. And the cheese grits were of the chain as well. Can’t wait to try there Texas Twinkies in the future. A must try id your in the area. also wanting to try Dino ribs on the next visit

If you’re looking for BBQ anywhere near Cookeville TN it’s worth the try! They have really good turkey and chicken. If you came here and got a turkey sandwich or brisket baked potato, then you would have a great experience. I would say some of their meats definitely aren’t on par with the turkey and chicken. The brisket was too dry, it tasted pretty good and clean but felt old. The pork rib fell apart when we ate it but was too fatty, had to pick a lot of it off. I would say the biggest improvement would be a better smoke job and higher quality of pork and beef.

Hands down the best BBQ around, we got the pulled pork sandwich and the pulled pork tater, along with some Mac and cheese and cornbread and it was all phenomenal. The pork was nice and moist and the cornbread was absolutely the best, perfect sweetness and moist. We used the sweet BBQ sauce and it’s very tasty. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely be coming back soon! We went back and got the pulled pork tray and their new dessert, the BrazenScotch Pie, and it was excellent! Highly recommended!

Had the whole hog eye. Went back for the brisket, turkey and chicken. Corn bread is a must. Loved the side green beans, baked beans, and grits. Worth the trip!

UPDATE: Follow them on their social channels so you know about their specials. If they have their Armadillo Eggs or Texas Twinkies… Just GO!
Be sure and check their Facebook page for their daily specials!
This is the beef cheek special from this weekend. Very delicious! Super rich and tender cut of meat. Flavored similarly to brisket, but with a richer, butterery flavor. The smoke ring on it was beautiful! Sides delicious as always.
The beef cheek was a special, but you can’t go wrong with anything else on the menu: brisket, pulled pork, ribs, turkey, bologna, smoked sausages… Or their specials like brisket Smashburger, dino ribs, chili, and all their sides!!!
UPDATE (12/11/2025): Only update I’ve got for you this time is they’re serving up breakfast on W-Th-F mornings. Brisket or sausage breakfast burritos and tacos. Breakfast biscuit sandwiches, biscuits & chocolate gravy (iykyk!), and some other items. Get your day started RIGHT from hump day to the weekend!

Very good local joint serving craft BBQ. Courteous staff and clean restaurant. The ribs were supper tender and not too smoky. The pepper based sauce was excellent. Good combo with the pickles and pickled onions. Pulled pork is great. Plenty of parking and clean restrooms.

This was the best brisket and ribs I’ve had outside of Texas!!! So good. Those baked beans were out of this world too. They were out of cornbread which sucked. Those Jalapeño cheese grits though……..mmmm they stole the show. This place is a gem! I will definitely go back when I visit family again.

This was a mind blowing experience on a cosmic level. I’ve never had barbecue So good! Even at all the barbecue restaurants in Texas that I’ve eaten at so far. Every single thing that I ate was not only just good. It was freaking outstanding. Nick is the Captain Kirk of barbecue. When I walked in the front door, Nick met me with a taste of I think it was sliced pork shoulder steak + it literally made me want to run my head in the wall and Do the pork steak dance + proclaim a whole new religion. I’ve never tasted something so delectable. It has a rich porky taste tons of flavor and it just melted in my mouth. I knew then that I drove an hour and 40 minutes was going to be worth the drive and I knew this drive is going to happen a lot more. All the food had a taste that is hard to put into words and formulate the words to describe how good it was. And I’m a hard person to impress but they blew me out the water. I live in Alabama but I’m making more trips to Nashville and then driving to brazen que. I am so thankful that we found this place. Where not one meat needs sauce but then I tried the sauces and the sauces were mind-blowing. So all I can say at this point is beam me up Scotty. I’m ready to go back because Nick is the true Captain Kirk of barbecue. Live long and prosper Nick!!

First time eating here and it was great with a few criticisms. We were greeted with a smile by the cutie behind the counter. He was so friendly and I could tell he loved his job. The brisket was great. Got a really large portion, the beans were super good but the mac & cheese and street corn was kind of basic. The prices, though, definitely not cheap. I guess you pay for quality, but that was some expensive brisket.
