I am not a foodie nor familiar with Indian/Nepali Cuisine, my vegetarian daughter does like indian food. We thought we would give this place a try. I believe the food was made fresh and there was a bit of a delay, maybe 15 minutes, getting our food but I felt the food was worth the wait. I asked for a recommendation and they suggested the Chicken Masala which I thought was wonderful. I went with medium spice and felt it was pretty mild. My daughter had a vegetarian dish which she said was as good as she has ever had. I felt the portions were fine, I was easily able to split my entrée into two meals so I have something to look forward to tomorrow for lunch.

Karuwaa Express is a fantastic spot with delicious food and a cozy atmosphere. The Chicken Jhol Momo was rich and flavorful, the Chilly Momo had the perfect spice and crisp, and the Chilly Wings were crispy and full of flavor. The staff was friendly, and the service was great. Highly recommend this place for a great meal!

Tried the coconut curry, tikka, and butter chicken with white rice, vegetable rice and noodles. Everything was delicious and tasted very fresh. We did take out and it was fast, though the area inside to sit looked very clean and neat. Very nice gentleman working up front. So glad it is now in the neighborhood.

This might possibly be the worst Indian food I’ve ever had in Sandy, if not Salt Lake County. Just bad, bad, bad. The saag paneer was not edible. The Google reviews for this restaurant do not reflect the quality of their food. I would never spend another dollar here; it will close soon I’m sure.
Update: The owner commented that we didn’t get our food at the Sandy restaurant. (They deleted the comment.) We placed our takeout order at the Sandy location on 9400 South just east of 2000 East, and we picked it up from that location. We also waited 15 minutes because the order wasn’t made timely. There was no one at the location when we picked up our order, so the owner is being deceptive. Please don’t lie about our order & attempt to cast doubt on my negative review.

The owners of this restaurant have gone out of their way to be kind and generous with their portions and the food is delicious and they’re very personable and you will not be disappointed. If you go to this restaurant it is incredible and they do Nepali and Indian cuisine.

I recently visited Karuwaa Express in sandy (Nepali and Indian restaurant) with my mom, and we are still thinking about the meal!
The food was absolutely delicious from start to finish. The Tikka Masala , and Naan was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted , rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The momos (dumplings) were also a must-try; they were perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful, leaving me craving more. Every dish was accompanied by a variety of amazing sauces that added an extra layer of depth to the meal. The veggie options are amazing you won’t even notice they are only veggies there!
It’s clear that the chefs take great pride in their food, and I can’t wait to return for another round of these mouthwatering dishes! If you’re a fan of authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine, this place is a must visit!

This place is incredible! All of the workers are so friendly and the food is amazing. We felt very welcomed immediately, and we didn’t have to wait too long for our food either. 10/10 would definitely come again.

Just enjoyed one of the best meals I have had in a long time at Karuwaa Express Sandy! I take my Indian and Nepali food very seriously and this food is the real deal – absolutely phenomenal! We tried the Pork Momos, Saag Paneer, and Samosas. I highly recommend all three – especially the Saag Paneer. The complexity and depth of flavor makes this dish something truly special.
I can’t wait to go back so I can try more of the menu items that caught my eye like Chili Momo, Jhol, or Paneer Chili!
