Dec 2024. From the time we stepped through the front door to the time we sat down, we were treated like family. Like warm family. Like family that welcomes you into their warm Mexican restaurant. It was special. All of it. The decor. The seats. The cups. Everything was good. My friend enjoyed his ground taco beef wrapped in a tortilla with cheese. I had the ground beef in a fried tortilla with extra beans. I made the important decision for fried ice cream. Make sure you end your night with it.). Señor Max is something special. Open since a long time ago.

Nov 2025. Many miles away is how far we came for our second incredible visit to Senōr Max’s. And let us tell you, it was very incredible. The people. The friendly ladies. The authentic decor. And the food was tasteful. This time, our good friend, Super Grandè Mike, came with us. (He drove separate cuz he needs more Skynyrd than us.) Everything was spectacular. Grandè Mike agreed with our belief that the manager of this fine establishment greeted us as if remembering our last visit. It was a welcome as warm as the sun’s hot rays, embracing us with heat. The menu (thank the good god) had not changed. Grandè Mike explored the menu fully, getting deep insights from the lady manager about food options. Truly incredible insights. We ate everything we ordered. The meat. The sauce. The special house tortillas. And the fresh bed of sprinkled iceberg lettuce. And I ordered the extra rice AND beans. (Both!) And the ice cream was still best.
We will be coming back. Again. And then again. Grandè Mike said he’ll be coming too. Again.

Honestly Loved this place. Our Family Made it a tradition to eat out here every year in December. This year we were asked to leave about 5 minutes after we handed the lady our check (We were getting ready to leave anyways) The one server kept repeatedly telling us to leave as we were putting on our jackets. They didn’t even wait for us to fully get out before they brought back the next Family. (There was plenty of other tables open). Honestly have never been asked to leave EVER. Finally after over 15+ years we decided to not go back. Honestly very disappointed. Do better. Would not recommend coming here with a group period.

We went for lunch today. I had the ground beef enchilada and my Mom had the ground beef chimichanga! Food was absolutely delicious! We had the most delicious fried ice cream for dessert! Great service, wonderful atmosphere, and absolutely wonderful food!

Blame it on Texas but this Mexican food was far from authentic. We’re just used to the real deal but what do you expect so close to Canada?
Lovely ladies working there although most could be friendlier.
Margarita was disappointing. Hot salsa was pretty good. Strange you have to pay for chips and salsa though.

This restaurant has been around forever in the Watertown mall. We love it! Maybe it’s not the most authentic Mexican food but it hits all the right notes. The seafood enchiladas are great, topped with a creamy white sauce.

Tables and seats are cozy (old European pub feel). What we ordered tasted real good and well seasoned and I love the chips which are seasoned as well! The lady who waited on us (Maddie) is so polite, nice and sweet. She kept checking on us to make sure if there’s anything else we needed and it made us feel we are well taken care of. Tables and seats are kept clean.

We got take out, so I can’t rate the restaurant or atmosphere, but the food was Horrible! I ordered the beef enchilada combo with rice.Very greasy. Looked like fake cheese. Actually had to search for the rice that was served with the enchiladas.
