I finally got my hands on a bbq plate from this place and I just wanted to start off by saying when I lived out here in pamlico, I would drive by when it was just a little red building. Heard a few things about it becoming a bbq joint but just like all good things, it took a long time. Enough time that it went right out of my mind until someone posted a review on Facebook. I’m telling you, I went the very next day to see for myself! And I am SO pleased with how good everything was !!! So much flavor in every direction. This bbq place makes Smithfield’s look like a JOKE. I couldn’t recommend anything better. Little ol pamlico finally has a great spot to eat at! Can’t wait to come back

I cannot believe we waited so long to try this place out. Tried the special batter dipped chicken sandwich and the bbq sandwich today for lunch…it was out of this world good! Special sauce is perfect. Baked beans were great! Everything was made fresh and served with a smile. We might even go back for dinner!

Everytime we work in pamlico county on Friday we go out of our way to stop in for lunch. This place has some of the best food ive ever had. If your out that way you gotta stop in and try it and the staff is also really good at what they do just an all around great place.

We had the bbq and chicken combo plates. The bbq was moist and flavorful and the chicken was tender with their tasty sauce served on the side. Baked beans were sweet and smoky and the homemade mac and cheese was decadent. As a bonus, the staff was friendly and fun. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff was very friendly and courteous. They keep the menu simple, which I think is a plus, and the BBQ and crispy chicken wrap were awesome. The crispy chicken I felt was amazing, one of the best if not the best chicken sandwich I have ever tasted…seriously

Food was delicious and portions were generous and reasonably priced. Wait was long & with only one person taking orders (who was also filling the orders & doing payment), couldn’t get my order even though I phoned it in ahead. Only plus was since this is *clearly* a local favorite, nobody seemed particularly upset about the wait.

Amazingly good BBQ! So glad to have this out in Pamlico county. Pulled pork and chicken is absolutely on point, great smoke. Every side is great too. Haven’t tried the desserts yet, but have heard really good things about them. Definitely give this place a try if you are a barbeque aficionado.
