2nd time dining at Mac & Jerry’s. This place reminds me of the Diner on the Andy Griffith Show. Good food, healthy portions, and service with a beautiful smile. I had the number 2 on the menu; two eggs over easy, sausage patties, potatoes (onion) and wheat toast. She even threw in a sliver of peach cobbler for free. There is no place in the world you can get better value and quality for $8.50.

A cash and local check only dinner that serves breakfast and lunch items. Breakfast is available during all open hours. The food was good. The cheese grits were recommended by our server. When we got them they were mostly regular grits with a bit of cheese swirled in last minute. Definitely not worth the price. It’s a cute mom and pop neighborhood diner where the locals come to eat. Worth a stop for breakfast or other American style food options.

My wife and I were traveling and saw this little “dive”. The parking lot was full so we decided it must be good. Good is an understatement now that we have eaten there. We both enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. Certainly a local fave as the crowd seemed to know all of the staff. I’ll go even further and say this was the best biscuit I’ve ever had. I’m 50 and have had some very good food, and this place served me one of the best home cooked breakfasts I have ever had. This will become our annual breakfast stop on our journey to Orange Beach.

I was disappointed…. Got eggs over easy , ham , hash browns and biscuits with gravy
The biscuit and gravy came out quickly but was made with a mix, not a true white sauce. Opaque in color and tasteless. Biscuits were bland. 10 minutes later my wife received her French toast …. Very average or below. 5 minutes later I received my eggs ham and hash browns. Eggs were overcooked, small chunk of ham that was lukewarm and hash browns were cubed potatoes that were deep fried. Of course my less than desirable biscuits and gravy were cold.
Coffee was good. Service was mediocre at best even though they were not busy The building was clean and nice diner like atmosphere.

This is a perfect diner / cafe option! We ordered food to go. The omeletes and hot cakes were perfect, as we’re the grits! Friendly staff. Cash only but worth it!
