Our first time as travelers stopping briefly in the area to visit relatives (who’ve dined here before). Seated promptly during busy dinner hour on a Thursday evening. Place is clean. Massive easy to read menu. Servers were friendly and attentive. There was a slight communication snafu between servers written order & kitchen staff execution — pizza size & ingredients were incorrect — but quickly corrected. Our other pasta dishes were amazing and robust portions.

Highly recommend this restaurant. The food is really good. Pretty surprising for a little restaurant out in the middle of nowhere. Service was amazing. I love going into a small mom and pop restaurant and having service that really cares about your experience. Our server was new, but she was eager to make sure we had everything we needed and she had back-up right at her elbow to answer any questions that she couldn’t. I ordered a veggie plate and added grilled chicken and alfredo sauce. Wow, that alfredo sauce made the vegetables and chicken come alive. Tea was good, and I am picky. Rolls were good, could maybe use a little garlic seasoning shaker on the table to sprinkle over them for those who like a little more flavor. Real butter for rolls. The Italian sausage here is the best I’ve ever ordered in a restaurant. We went back during our stay in the area and I ordered the same veggie plate, but added sausage this time. It was even better than the chicken. So good! The alfredo sauce and sausage paired perfectly. My husband ordered a pepperoni, sausage and mushroom plate in a red sauce the first night and it was delicious too. We will be back when we are in the area!

This place is ok, like a 4 out of 10. I got the pasta combo and a salad. The salad was small and very simple but good. The rolls are off the chain and so is the sweet tea! The food was good but like lasagna to me is thick, cause of the layers of meat cheese and pasta, right? There’s was real thin with like 2 layers of pasta and small portions of the 3 other pastas and could use a little more flavor. The restaurant itself was a tad bit on the small side and I felt a little cramped in there. The service was awesome tho. I’ll go back mostly cause it’s the only place around for miles.

It was our first time trying this little restaurant during our short trip at lake tawakoni. The service and food was amazing. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms, chefs special and chicken pesto with a pizza to go home with. The food was so tasty and fresh. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting to try some Italian near the lake!

I absolutely love this place. We eat at or order food from Roma once a week, and it never disappoints. Their pizza is fantastic, and so is their very extensive menu of other items. We’ve had several entrees that we love and keep finding new things that are equally good. My husband and I went to Rome this summer, and this food honestly reminds me of some of the meals we had there. I’m amazed we can get this quality of Italian food in East Tawakoni! Highly recommend.

Now my dog won’t eat the food.
I ordered two small chicken alfredos with garlic bread.
I got home with 2 small orders of noodles what is mushroom cream on it no mushrooms either and no chicken the bread was not garlic bread they’re just plain bread.
I attempted to get them to replace the order and they asked me what did I want to just wait till the next time I come in and they would give me a discount on two small orders again.
After driving 30 minutes to one way and 30 minutes back home and for the price I paid for it it’s definitely not worth it.
That is just my opinion.
Other people may have better look at it than me.

The food and service were great. I knocked my water over with the menu and everyone laughed, including our waitress, Laura. She was great. It had been a long day for us, and she made our dining experience pleasant. Definitely will be back to this place when I am in town!

This family owned spot is amazing! The pasta dishes had loads of meat which was all delicious. These were a bit different than usual American Italian and awesome. Bread was lovely
My son had the best buffalo chicken pizza ever!
The staff was very engaging and obviously the locals were familiar and fun.
I guess it’s a dry county so bring your own wine!

Great place for gathering for lunch after Church. The food is first class and fresh. Dinner rolls are big and fluffy. They are really big and hot. I’m just afraid the lines are gonna get longer after the Secret gets out how really good the plates and specialty plates are. The reason I gave them a 4 for service is the secret is out how good the food is. When your packed to gills with customers…but they held their heads above water and didn’t give up. Great job girls.
