Had a meal here Saturday 7th of Feb, weren’t impressed at all.
The restaurant was very cold, a few people decided to get a takeaway to eat at home. Plates were cold and the food although tasty was also luke warm because of the cold plates and no heating. The restaurant looked like a school canteen with eighties music and decore.
Try again Shapla.

Visited on a Sunday evening whilst on holiday. It was busy (unlike the previous night when we had walked past) likely due to the Christmas light switch-on happening just outside. We were seated quickly despite not having booked, drinks and poppadoms arrived shortly followed by our starters which took us quite by surprise (we had literally just ordered!) everything was delicious both came away stuffed and satisfied. The restaurant looked a little tired. Service was great. Food was lovely. Price was excellent.

The food was good, not overly exciting, but nonetheless tasty! The service was very quick. I would definitely eat here again.

We were visiting Dunbar this week and are from Edinburgh.We have just had a very authentic meal lots of meat in all dishes .The tandoori chicken biriyani was amazing as was the accompanian vegtable curry .The tarka dahl was the best we have had in along time and we visit Indian restaurants a lot in edinburgh this was by far the best food we have had in a while ,service and price was excellent .On the down side the restaurant decor needs a make over, but a must visit if you are a foodie.

We use Shapla when we visit my parents in Dunbar. The food is lovely. I usually go for the Chicken Shashlik which is one of the best I’ve tried so far.
However the last few times we’ve ordered, everything has been very oily.
Last time it was delivered, a few items were missing and it had all leaked. I didn’t realise at first so ended up with oil all over the surfaces of my caravan.

Ate here on a Friday evening after making a reservation which we were able to push back an hour without any problem. The place was empty when we arrived and most tables hadn’t been set up for dining. Starters were OK but when the mains arrived on a serving trolley and put on the table, they and the rice were luke warm and had to be sent back. They had clearly been standing for a while and left to get cold as we finished the starters. There were a couple of takeaway customers during our meal but for a Friday night it doesn’t bode well – we weren’t impressed by the mains or the restaurant itself. First time visitors here but we won’t be rushing back ♂️

Didn’t plan on coming here as we were only driving through, but so so glad we did. The food was delicious and the staff wonderful. Highly recommended.
We had Poppodoms, Roti, Veg Bhuna, Veg Rogan Josh, mushroom rice and Pilau rice. All were prepared with a vegan recipe.
