Ok so to be clear I think the people tried hard.
But when I get a phone call about a very simple turkey sandwich I was very concerned I ordered online and already paid. The confusion was concerning.
I do not recommend that people make food they don’t normally eat don’t understand and don’t know how to make.
I’ve been in CT my whole life born here and in general the ITALIANS take the lead on pizzas and grinders..it’s just how it has always been. Others trying to do it never measure up.
Unfortunately this is a third strike for this area concerning grinders. I will never do it again. EVER unless I find Italians in there. I didn’t do all my homework..the website looked good… But I should have gone to the reviews first.
In general I haven’t seen any actual Italian pizza grinder shops in Meriden/Wallingford. The Asian food is always good but this put me over budget because two bites and it was a do not continue.
The bread was soaked in oil and I never heard of that. Soaked as in dripping into the container soaked. It was not a good tasting oil so I don’t know what kind. If it was olive oil it was not a good kind and lacked a good Italian taste and the “oregano” was useless for whatever reason.
The “turkey” ? Was not good quality meat. It was literally spongy and thatafre worried.
I have shared a comparison collage because maybe a visual will work better.
If you plan to be competitive maybe try experiencing the competitors food first.
In CT( I know many have hopped over from NY… ) Food is high standard… Many owners source quality ingredients farm to table or they partner with local farms so the ingredients themselves are above bar unlike New York that relies more on competition through volume ..location etc.. CT is very small and it’s common that high standards attract more customers than anything else like proximity.
So I hope this gives formative feedback not just a reaction and criticism. I would say get some Italians in there or maybe change the menu??
Good luck and I saw good reviews for some other items so maybe do that only?

I went there order a Cobb salad and a steak and cheese pita the food was actually good. But my order came up to $23.83 and something just told me to check my debit card transaction and saw that my card was charged for $29.00 so why would the order person I won’t put her name up here because I don’t want to embarrass her. But it’s definitely on my receipt go back and steal from me like I won’t notice. Don’t ever use your card going there only god knows how many people they did this too. I’m disgusted.

Was delivery so can’t say anything about atmosphere. I can say that at very competitive prices the food was quite good . Pizza crust was some of the best I’ve had in a long time , which honestly , surprised me. Delivery time estimate was fairly accurate too . I’ve only had pizza and grinder so far (both very )..And ordering online was easy enough .ill definitely be ordering from here again .

A well done pizza because it had extra cheese. I called when it arrived and the girl on the phone was rude and nasty. I asked to speak to the owner and instead of getting on the phone a man was yelling in the background that was well done and since I wasn’t happy they would be picking up my pizza and refunding my money.
I can get pizza anywhere! Customers that leave don’t come back and they tell a friend who tells their friends.
Sad this business has gone down hill so much!

We’ve had the XL pepperoni pizzas, & the cakes for dessert. The food is delicious, and it’s prepared in a timely manner, for an affordable price! Also, the location is convenient, & staff has great customer service! We’ve enjoyed this restaurant since we’ve been in town. I highly recommend it!

Their original pizzas are good. But the Spinach and garlic was awful. Cardboard dry…. They just heard the complaint and didn’t offer any substitution, coupons nor discount for my next order. Needless to say, I won’t order from them again.

I ordered a small pizza with sausage. The pizza’s way too hard and I just don’t wanna call the place a complaint because I would feel bad. I got a big ziti tonight and it’s not even a Baked ziti It’s only pasta and sauce. No cheese. I called the place back. The person picking up the phone told me. They don’t give out forks, Spoons. or knives I never heard of that It’s not a big deal but pizza places around meriden are messing up
