Our go-to for great bbq. The staff is laid back and the food almost never misses. Phenomenal brisket. Don’t like the atmosphere or vibe? Order Togo. The only reason the atmosphere isn’t 5 starts is that the toilets need updating. Other than that- spacious environment, billiards, darts, indoor/outdoor seating. We love it.

Probably some of the best barbecue around. The beans, the coleslaw and the greens are excellent. I built my own sandwich, using some Texas toast, pickles, coleslaw, pulled pork, and Carolina sauce. Try it you’ll love it! And if Denise is Your bartender, ask her about her 20 hour love candle.

Went to this place for lunch and tried the brisket sandwich – hands down this is some of the best brisket we have had outside of Texas!! They have a smoker in the back and are using post oak and an amazing dry rub. You want good bbq – this is the place to go!! Friendly staff and a fun bar atmosphere, outside seating, and an overall very chill vibe. And on Wednesday they have $1 smoked wings!!!!

It was just the dive bar I needed today! Great locals, great conversation, fun Bartender! The brisket was good, the potato salad was sweet, the coleslaw could use a bit more vinegar and a dash of salt. Garlic bread was spot on. I’m not a fan of beer in plastic so switched from draft to bottled.
The locals do some fun hat tricks at this bar!!! You have to pop in to check that out!

Owner of establishment (Brass Captain) put up post office parking signs. Figured this was for during the day when the post office is open. Signs were generic and looked hand made. There were no tow away signs visible at all! Needless to say our vehicle was towed without proper signage being displayed. Had we seen a PROPER, LEGAL sign, we would have parked elsewhere! Finding out our vehicle had been towed we were perplexed. There were no tow away signs. We finally found one though, it was hidden behind the DUMPSTER!!! Not visible at all!! Entrapment at it’s finest! Brass Captain is probably getting a kickback from all the new tows. Definitely illegal!
If you put up a sign maybe also add “Post Office parking ONLY! All other vehicles will be towed!!” That would have saved us and others the headache of dealing with A- 1 Towing. This towing company was very unprofessional and their employees were very rude!

Walked in randomly. Was not expecting the BBQ to be as good as it was. My girlfriend asked for a spicy margarita and I asked for an IPA.. spicy margaritas are not on the menu but Thomas made one, off the cuff, that was outstanding. For $11 I got a brisket sandwich and collard greens. $11 is a steal at any place for a sandwhich and side… this was legit the best brisket and best collard greens I’ve had.. collard greens were fantastic.. Brisket was not fatty and perfectly cooked. Kudos to the chef.
