in my opinion, this is the gold standard for cafe ambiance and coziness. The attention to detail in decor is unmatched. I love the couches and how no two tables are the same. This was my first time back since the rebrand — I can’t say that I noticed any big differences, but they take your order at your table now (instead of the counter) which is a nice touch. We had a royal spanish mocha and cleopatra’s rose mocha; both were delicious and not too sweet, and tasted hand crafted in a way that made it worth the higher price. The chai cake was very good with lots of flavor. Don’t let the lack of gluten in the chai cake turn you off, I never would have guessed that it was gluten free. They serve mostly snacks, desserts, and light meals, not where I would go for a full meal.

I do miss when this place was open in the mornings, as the hours are very limited now. I also miss the old name. But those are my only complaints and they are relatively minor.

The upstairs can fill up, so get there closer to opening to sit upstairs…it is cozier there. We came at around 1:30 on a saturday and had no trouble getting) a spot but it filled up in the few hours we were there. There are two single occupancy restrooms. The upstairs is not very accessible because the stairs are quite steep. There is not a lot of space to maneuver between the tables even downstairs, but I think that at least part of the downstairs would be accessible if you need a mobility aid. There is a good amount of outdoor seating too. sometimes they do events. there are plenty of books and magazines to read if you forget to bring your own.

Overall, highly recommend.

A little hidden gem of Northampton. Really glad to see that this place has managed to remain open, likely due to a ton of work from the owners–though they do have seasonal hours which results in lots of closure. They also have a pretty wide variety on their menu and original decor that’s engaging and in good taste.

The coffee and waffle quality was average, but the decoration of the place was really nice and unique. The music was terrible; I told them a couple of times, and they didn’t do anything about it (even if they did, I didn’t notice). If you’re visiting there to spend some time studying or working, you had better have headphones with you.

Beautiful, cozy place like no other in Northampton. As more of the coffee shops in town that actually let you sit down and take your time disappear, this place feels like an oasis. Also, their mocha is bigger AND cheaper than the one they serve at Ana Bandeira Chocolates 😉

I haven’t tried the food yet so I can’t speak to that, but I definitely recommend stopping in for coffee or a cocktail.

This cute cafe is tucked in an alley behind Main Street. They have a wide variety of coffee drinks, cocktails, and mock tails that are very tasty! I got the Golden milk and loved it. The decor is eccentric and cozy.

I wanted to show my mom this place because I had a great experience when it was iconica. We walked in and asked for a menu. We were told it’s table service as well now so we decided to sit. We waited 15 minutes and no one came to take our order. I went back up to make the order at the front (which you can still do) but was told it would be “easier for them” if we sat back down to order. Finally someone came over and I thankfully asked if the vegan sandwich was vegan as I always do at new places to make sure and I’m glad I did. I was told that the bun has egg in it and is not vegan. So I didn’t order that. We ordered the hummus plate. $12 for very obviously old carrots that were store bought in a bag from a stop and shop or Trader Joe’s. The crackers are also from Trader Joe’s and the hummus was mediocre. We were not told we needed to pay at the front but eventually assumed so. The space was not packed yet incredibly loud due to individuals rehearsing/setting up for their show that night. I could barely hear what anyone around me was saying. The staff seemed inconvenienced by our presence and also overwhelmed somehow despite there being no one but us as customers. Just a truly awful experience overall. Upcharging for cheap store bought food and awful service. Photo of the carrots for reference. $12 PLUS TIP for gross food.

super cool little cafe and bar. nice indoor and outdoor seating. decor is pretty. right in the heart of northampton next to a ton of shops.

the service here is always amazing and the drinks are great. a little expensive but it’s very definitively northampton.

without a doubt my favorite place to go get drinks in town. options are clearly labelled as gluten free and vegan.

A really nice little local cafe with a brilliant wide selection of drinks, including great mocktails, and prices are reasonable. Cake was really delicious and very generous slices- I recommend the chocolate cake.
Staff were friendly and the interior is very nice too.

Iconica is one of my favorite places in Northampton! Always make sure to check the hours before visiting though!
The inside is uniquely decorated, and there is plenty of seating outside as well. The food options are limited- but extremely tasty! The pastries and cakes are always a delight. The drinks are great as well. I can’t say enough great things about Iconica!
