Not just delicious Falafel!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
It was truly wonderful to eat here during the Christmas holidays.
This is one of the best Falafel restaurants in Palestine (if not the best)!
♂️ Just a few steps from Nativity Church Square, I enjoyed Falafel sandwiches, a yummy Hummus plate, and an Arabic salad — everything was excellent.
I loved the atmosphere: a traditional Palestinian setting with folklore touches and antique decorations. It’s not only a place to eat, but also a lovely spot to spend time and enjoy the experience.
This is a place you simply cannot skip when visiting Bethlehem. It’s part of the city’s flavor and soul, and eating here makes the visit complete.
I’ll definitely come back every time I visit Beit Lahem (Bethlehem).
❤️I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Beit Lahem (Bethlehem) ~ Palestine.
I also noticed that Bethlehem’s
former mayor, Mrs. Vera
Baboun, along with other
famous personalities, has been
here! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is an institution in Bethlehem. A stone throw away from the Church of Nativity, Afteem family is a Palestinian refugee family from Jaffa, and has been a part of the community, the diaspora and tourist experience for generations. Nothing fussy about the food, but everything authentic and native is embedded here. From the exposed stone interior to the warm soft and chewy bread, herbaceous falafel that is second to none, and the OMG humous and musabaHa. If haven’t had musabaHa, you really should. Always order the mint lemonade, absolutely worth it, and soak in the experience and the food. This is a memorable treat and my go to every time I come back.

You know you’re in a great restaurant when you see a lot of locals. This was just off Manger Square and I was able to enjoy an authentic lunch with excellent service and atmosphere. It turns out this restaurant has multiple locations throughout Bethlehem.

Located right off Manger Square in Bethlehem, Afteem restaurant featured a cozy cave-like setting and a short menu offered simple Palestinian staples. Almost everyone who dines here orders the hummus, a beautifully-plated dip of chickpeas and tahini topped with chickpeas, olive oil, and spicy chopped green chilies. The hummus went perfectly with the chewy pita bread and the plate of pickles, tomatoes, and chopped jalapeños that came on the side, but my favorite part of the meal was the falafel. These puck-shaped chickpea fritters had a perfectly crispy exterior and a pleasantly dry, herbaceous interior. The falafels came together perfectly with the creamy hummus, pita bread, and chilies in super satisfying bites! On top of the tasty food, the service here was super friendly, quick, and attentive, and the menu prices were an unbelievable value.

They serve one of the best Falafels around and they have preserved the vibe of the place through the interior of the restaurant, it was converted from the orginal house. They have great kebabs and such friendly staff. It’s indeed a must visit place if you’re in Bethlehem.

Very very delicious food!
The service is nice and quick. The portions are good, not too large, but also not too small.
There is air-conditioning, and toilet.
We ate hummus, salad, and falafel, and all of them were very good, the hummus is a bit sour. And the falafel is just perfect and also big.

We had delicious fresh falafels for lunch here during our stay in Bethlehem. A really nice place around the corner from the main square in Bethlehem. The place is cool and clean inside. They make good coffee too. The place is busy with locals and tourists.

Gorgeous meal with great service. Free WiFi is a nice touch.
It was hot and and the pitcher of lemonade with mint cooled us down.
Tried Arak (17 shekels) a clear liquor made in Bethlehem with a splash of water and ice to take the edge of our tiredness.
Had the lamb cubes with salad instead of fries. Delicious!
The Fateh is so good I just want to dunk my face in it!

Nicer place to sit down and eat with WiFi. The only thing on the menu which I thought was good as the falafel and for what it’s worth I think it was probably the best falafel I’ve ever had. The other dishes were pretty average but the nice environment and the really good falafel means I’m giving it 5/5 stars
