I was in town for work, I stopped in for dinner. I tried the 3 meat plate. The brisket was good , but the last piece was dry. The pulled pork was good with good flavor and smoke. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was good and the hush puppies were great. They have pretty good bbq and recommend a stop and try..

Went there with some friends and got a chance to sample a lot of the menu. Really cool place with a ton of seating and a separate bar. Friendly staff
The brisket melts in your mouth and the pulled pork was some of the best I’ve ever had. Paired everything we got with their 6 homemade sauces.
Definitely worth the stop.

Out for a drive, my hunger led me to The Crazy Pig in Davidson, NC for some takeout. Here’s my honest two cents:
The baked beans fell flat right away. No depth of flavor, no smokiness, and not even a hint of meat mixed in—just plain and forgettable.
The pulled pork on its own didn’t impress much, coming across as bland. Thankfully, once I added their sauce, it came alive with much-needed flavor.
The hush puppies were another miss—dry, lacking in seasoning, and missing that satisfying bite I was hoping for.
As for the brisket, it arrived without any bark (a must for good brisket), and it was slightly overcooked. Again, the sauce helped, but the meat itself lacked the richness you expect from BBQ done right.
I held out hope for the chicken, which looked well-seasoned and smoked. Unfortunately, the flavor profile just didn’t land—the seasoning blend clashed instead of complementing, and after one bite, I couldn’t continue.
At the end of the day, the brisket and pulled pork with sauce were edible, but overall, this spot has some serious work to do to measure up as a true BBQ destination. #GratuityAdded

I recently stopped by The Crazy Pig, and let me tell you, this place lives up to its name in all the right ways. The burger I had was nothing short of amazing. The bun was toasted just enough to give that perfect balance of soft and crisp, and the beef patty was cooked to perfection, juicy, flavorful, and packed with that backyard-grill kind of taste that’s hard to find these days.
The toppings were fresh and thoughtfully layered with melted cheese, crisp lettuce, and just the right amount of sauce to tie it all together without overpowering the meat. And those fries were golden, crispy, and seasoned just right, complementing the burger beautifully. You can tell they put care into every bite.
What really made the experience stand out was the service. Rob was absolutely exceptional, friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every guest enjoyed their meal. It’s rare to meet someone who brings that much pride and energy to their work, and it made all the difference.
If you haven’t tried The Crazy Pig yet, do yourself a favor and go. Great food, great people, and an atmosphere that makes you feel right at home.

First time here— we got our food TO-GO. The brisket sandwich has so much meat. The brisket is tender and juicy. The Mac and cheese is heavenly. The potato salad has the perfect amount of tang. Delicious

As a Kansas City native, finding good bbq away from home can be a challenge, but from the moment we walked in to The Crazy Pig, I knew it was going to be great. The atmosphere is cute. The tea was fresh brewed. There are 5 different BBQ sauces to choose from including a mustard-based NC sauce, a house sauce, a bold sauce, mango habanero, and a honey sauce. They were all amazing. I had the signature sandwich which was pulled pork with slaw. Incredible. My husband got the brisket which was out of this world. We tried the wings which were fall off the bone. 10/10 give this place a try.

Great pulled pork sando! Hush puppies and Mac n Cheese bites were on point. Nice selection of craft and macro beers to wash it all down. Can’t wait to go back.

How this place has a 4.5 is beyond me but we were definitely bamboozled by the rating. Fries were cold. BBQ was extremely fatty and greasy. Ceaser salad was an abomination, the dressing absolutely came out of a great value bottle. Service wasn’t anything special, our cups sat empty for awhile and we had to ask for them to be filled. Overall not a great experience. Plenty of other places in this area that are better.

We didn’t have plans for the night. My husband has picked up carry out multiple times from here. We love BBQ & are happy it’s conveniently located in DAVIDSON. We dined in last night. It was Friday night. Busy!
We met the owner, Eileen. What a sweet heart! Working so hard. Running around but also doing her best to talk to the customers.
We got the nachos, but my husband requested they substitute the pulled pork for brisket for a small up charge. Yum! It was perfect! Addictive!
Check out my pics. I didn’t do many, I was too excited to dig right in.
DELICIOUS!
We’ll be back!

Never have I had an experience with a restaurant owner worse than this. My friends and I walked into the crazy pig on sept 20 after attending a nearby festival. Immediately from walking in we were greeted and told to take a seat and order at front. Completely normal started polite. We found a table and were deciding on food (we stood out of the way at our table to not holdup the line) Max 5 min pass and restaurant owner comes up to my group and says we need to hurry sit down and order. I politely said that I was still looking at the menu I wasn’t ready to order. Instead of responding with the same energy, he instead told us to hurry and to sit down or get out and stop being an inconvenience. Inconvenience to who!? We were the only people in there! In what friendly restaurant environment are you not allowed to talk to your friends? Apparently The Crazy Pig. Honestly this entire experience felt discriminatory because there is no way this would ever be said to a different group of people. Not ever coming back under any circumstances.
