This was our first time here and it is a cool little spot. Don’t let the little deli deceive you, it has tons of items for sale and there are quite a few you don’t find in your regular grocery store. The gentleman at the register, told us it was opened 23 years ago by a person who couldn’t find the good food he was accustomed to before he moved to Port Jarvis. So he decided to open the shop with no experience and it has thrived ever since. Friendly service, delicious food, and a great place to grab something before you head to High Point State Park. We will definitely return to try some of the other delicious looking items!

First of all. If I could give this place 15 stars I would. I got some delivery through DD because I am currently sick at home with COVID. I got a corned beef sandwich which was absolutely delicious. It came with potato salad and a cookie, and I added a crumbling bun and soda to it. This was packed like the person who packed it loved me. Like my grandma packed it. And let me tell you what made me smile even though I feel like I was run over by a herd of wild horses: a little starlight mint at the bottom of the bag.
In short I would recommend this place to anyone who is having a rough day and just wants to feel like there is still good in the world ❤️ thank you! (All the food was amazing and the prices were more than reasonable)

My go-to when I need my fix of Eastern European goods. Best selection of cold cuts , kielbasas, and chocolates. Oh and their sandwiches are to die for and enough for two meals. Bob and his staff are wonderful and this JJ’s is definitely worth the stop!

Amazing sandwiches made here! Great selection of polish food and treats. I LOVE THE SMOKED SPRATS AND THE SALMON IN A CAN! A tad bit pricey, but worth it.
The owner always seem a bit serious… I always want to ask him if he’s ok, but his IS very friendly!

Robert the owner has been an amazing person in running a top deli for decades. I love him though he has his moody days from hectic traffic at the store. Robert has everything you can imagine in German… n Polish n Ukraine etc. Foods.. candies…homemade cakes…delish soups n lunch special. Many herbal teas too to feel better by. Great breads n everything very fresh. He really cares to give you excellent generous thick sandwiches. A cozy set of tables to eat in at. I tell all my family n friends not to miss out on JJs …you bess not either. The food is heavenly. His staff very friendly.Just a place you will want to visit over n over!

Had the daily special which was cheese pierogi’s, polish kielbasa with homemade sauerkraut, rye bread and butter, side salad, drink and sour cream. Very reasonably priced at $8.25 and all was nothing short of awesome!!!

Came in 20 minutes before close for an Italian sub. Was ignored at the register for over 5 minutes while 3 staff were working on sandwiches for another customer. When someone finally got around to me they had a meltdown because they were 15 minutes till closing time. We drove 30 minutes to visit this deli due to it’s reviews unfortunately I left empty handed due to the drama. I get it, if it’s a Friday night you are counting the minutes till you can clock out but not accepting customers already in your queue is unacceptable.
