Espresso Portuguese American Cuisine in Manassas is absolutely worth the stop. The food is outstanding—flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Yes, the wait time can be a bit longer, but it’s one of those places where you forget about the clock once the food hits the table. Quality takes time, and they deliver.
The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better. You feel taken care of, not rushed. If you’re looking for excellent Portuguese-American food and don’t mind a little patience, this place is a no-brainer.

Hey! I noticed some reviews mention the atmosphere, but honestly, it adds to the authenticity of the experience. The food was absolutely delicious—I highly recommend the Paelha Valenciana with Lobster. It’s not your typical Spanish paella; it’s slightly watery, which makes it unique and flavorful. Espresso Portuguese Bar Fest is the Spanish/Portuguese Restaurant where they make decent cuisines base on what is made in and came from Kingdom Republic of Portugal and European Union. The food they have is similar to Spaniard and Spanish Cuisine. It’s different from Spanish/ Latin Food what the have there. Really? Yes. They got great quality fest on what they make in their popular dish. Sure it’s well impressive on the food they proceed to many customers guests too. Do they make great food? Of course they do their cuisines came from Portugal southwest Europe. Those staff are fantastic, impressive friendly relatives plus they have television sets to watch soccer in the dining center and the bar section. Real deal Portuguese food and drinks, not fancy but delicious… tons of Portuguese at the place makes the experience slightly better, thinking that you are there in a way. They have daily dishes that are typically super good and different things to try out. Stop by if you can.

Tasty, but is it still Portuguese? The Carne de Porco Alentejena was perfect. Maybe the best I’ve had in the US. Their Bifana, on the other hand, was way off. It’s not served in the traditional artisan roll and the pork was marinated in spices and sautéed onions. Bifanas should be simple, cooked with olive oil, crushed garlic and salt.
The sandwich was good, just not what I was hoping for.
The cafe is catered for blue collar European sport fans so don’t expect any warm ambiance. The service is great and the staff are very friendly

The restaurant atmosphere is very dated and in dire need of renovation. Not a good place for a date or to invite friends. Does not appear to be clean as it’s dark.
The food was not too bad. However, It was very salty. The serving portion was huge and they use clay pot plates which was a nice touch. Their bread is very good!
The server was very nice.
I would not go back due to the look of the restaurant, but I will probably order to go.

An unassuming exterior with a smallish parking lot, but the food and the staff are way above average. If you are not familiar with Portuguese cuisine, the servers generally (if not terribly busy) take the time to carefully explain the menu and answer your questions. Good, authentic food prepared and served by genuinely nice people.
