I’ll begin my review on a positive note. I can honestly say that I’ve never been disappointed in the meals I have tried so far. Their flavors and portion sizes are spot on! Next up, the dining area is kept clean.
Since they have implemented their new menu, which was updated to reflect a higher cost from their previous one, just know that what’s printed on their menu lies! If you are wanting the 3 basic soft chicken tacos, you are not entitled to rice … even though the menu clearly says it is a part of that option. Seriously, for $11, they can’t even give you 0.16 worth of rice?
Next, on my last visit, the meal I ordered was 15.99, according to their higher priced menu. I did not order any premium item, which understandably, would warrant an upcharge. When my bill came, I was charged $1 above the menu price.
They generally always appear to be understaffed, as I’ve been left waiting up front for a hostess to seat me on quite a few occasions. Then hunting someone down to receive your bill can often be just as challenging.
If the food wasn’t so good, I wouldn’t return.

If you’re passing through Hampton, STOP HERE!! As you might know, or will discover, there aren’t a plethora of food choices in the area. Ajua is your best bet and totally worth it!

My favorite place to eat in Hampton County. Try the chile rellenos for something different. Texas rice with veggies & jalapeños is excellent. Good margaritas. Even their french fries are great. Lots of kid-friendly meals. Excellent value. Service is always friendly and attentive.

My husband and I ordered 2 Texas rice meals, with a taco on the side and queso. This is not our first time here. We only got 1 bag of tortilla chips for the whole order. When we asked could we get another bag we were told no since all the food was on 1 check. Mind you we had to alcoholic drinks while waiting on our food so we spent we spent over $50. THIS IS INSANE. WE WILL NEVER COME BACK.

Really good Mexican food! You have to request corn tortillas if that is what you prefer or you’ll get flour tortillas automatically. Service is great. Price is good. Atmosphere is very good because who isn’t having a good time eating Mexican food, am I right?! We enjoy eating here as much as we can. Highly recommend if you are in Hampton, SC. I hate to leave bad reviews, but this couldn’t be avoided. The service was abominable. The waitress was conducting personal business with a woman and her children coordinating play dates, bbqs and business ventures and opportunities, ignoring me completely for more than 20 minutes. I should have walked out then, but didn’t. She was rude and dismissive when I ordered and seemed annoyed when I paid cash. She also overcharged me by $8. After ordering I waited for 37 minutes for my food before the manager asked what I was waiting for, and another 13 minutes after that. I was so not happy, but just got my food and left. The food was inedible. No flavor, tasted as though it was soaked in canned tomato sauce. No spices used at all. The tortilla for the taco was mush and the cheese in the enchilada was hard, I couldn’t even cut it with a fork. I threw it all in the trash. I cannot recommend this place. I do recommend that they hire a new cook and all new staff. Either way I will not be returning.
