Amy took great care of us. Made our anniversary so special.

We had shrimp Mac and cheese, lobster risotto, beet salad, scallops, Syrah bottle of wine and coconut ice cream with a fried dough base for dessert

Amazing! From start to finish, such an excellent experience. We were seated right away and provided with lots of details around menu and specials. Our waitress, Maria, was fabulous—provided great recommendations and answered all our questions. The chef is amazing! Best meal we had all week. The bartender also provided the perfect pairings for each part of our meal! Felt well cared for and just all around fabulous time. Highly recommend!

Beautiful restaurant with perfect service and delicious dishes. They hit it out of the park by any measure. Enjoyed the scallop appetizer, tenderloin skewers, lobster tails and mac and cheese. Our dining companions loved their rack of lamb. Everything was exquisite! Finished with mango tamarind sorbet. Five stars. Our server Hillary is a gem, truly!

Great food, but watch your bill. Amazing cuisine from trained chefs in candlelit seating overlooking the harbor. After reviewing the bill, I mentioned to the staff member that we had ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc (listed at $14) and a glass of Sancerre (listed at $18), but were charged for two glasses of Sancerre. To my astonishment, I received a lecture that both wines were made from the same grape so there was no need to correct the bill. Also, it turns out that they charge $2 per dinner roll as their “bread.” It additionally seemed unusual to me that the staff member insisted on shaking the hand of everyone in our party as the credit card was being returned… Good place, otherwise.

We had a wonderful dinner at The Terrace last evening, and were lucky to get a table on short notice. We were even treated to a spot on the terrace, which was quite unexpected given the late timing of our reservation. The service was on point, my martini was perfect and the view was nice. The only detractor was the somewhat loud live music emanating from the bar across the street, obviously beyond the control of management. Our entrees were great, including my wife’s filet and daughters Mac & Cheese. The tuna was a bit dry and not top Sashimi grade but still good. All in all a winner in our opinion… and we will certainly return.

it’s very sad

i’ve been coming to this restaurant probably since they opened, certainly I’ve been coming there for over 15 years

The food is still as good, the waiters and waitresses are still as helpful & charming, but it is the attitude from the management has changed. Dollars over loyalty.

First of all, unlike all of the other expensive restaurants in St. John, The Teressa doesn’t use Resy or OpenTable. When you call, the machine tell you to NOT leave a message for a reservation. The record tell you, you can email or call.(assuming you can get in touch with them) but when you do make a reservation with an email, it’s not quick to get a reply over the email. Apparently they only reply ONCE a day.

They don’t allow American Express, and if I remember correctly, even if you use a Visa or a Mastercard, I believe they charge you for using a credit card! I could be mistaken about that, but my memory is they do charge now for paying with a credit card

The restaurant is my opinion is now gotten very pennywise pound foolish.

What I mean by that is when I order escargot, let’s face it people who eat escargot, love it for the butter and garlic. At this restaurant they give you ONE roll with the escargot, if you want another if I remember last year, it was a DOLLAR, maybe more. Keep in mind there’s nothing cheap about eating at this restaurant.

but the worst problem is, they just don’t seem to CARE. They believe they know business much better than every other restaurants in St. John. Restaurants like Extra-virgin, Zozo’s, Morgan’s Mango, and La Tapa, because all of those restaurants put the customers ahead of the dollars.

I won’t say that I was treated RUDELY , but be certain if you check the most recent YELP reviews in the last two years you will notice that many of the people that were unhappy, felt that they were VERY rude.

all that I will say is over a decade of being a loyal customer they make me feel like I’m nothing special to them

I’m coming back to St. John for the next six weeks, and yes, I will be going to the terrace, but a lot of the charm from dealing with the management makes me less excited for going there. Sad, because this has up to recently, one of my favorite restaurants. The owner, the woman in my case, is killing her gem.

Almost all restaurants I go to tell us they consider my wife and I, a very low maintenance easy going customer. Many have told me they wish all their customers were as easy as my wife and I.

I hope things will change, but after patiently tried to explain my problems with getting a reservation I have a feeling their ego is much bigger then my relatively small needs.

Lovely dinner. We first stopped here in 2022 and decided to stop back. Hostess was kind and quick to help, server was excellent, a lovely person, and service was quick/attentive.

My wife got the Caribbean lobster tail half, which we both enjoyed. I had the mac and cheese with shrimp and mushrooms, excellent beyond words.

We finished the meal with the cinnamon cheesecake. It was perfect and one of our favorite deserts of our trips thus far.

A little pricey but expected. Overall was a lovely experience that we would happily repeat.

Excellent place for dinner along Cruz Bay. Great view and fabulous food. We had the sea scallops for an appetizer, and they were cooked perfectly and presented very well. 1 dinner entre was the lamb chops and the other the filet. Both were cooked to prefection. For dessert, we had the cinnamon cheesecake with pralin pecans and chocolate syrup. Everything was excellent.

Reminded me of overpriced, mediocre food that we have on Cape Cod. The salad was a few sprigs of lettuce, beets were bad, and the chicken wasn’t good. Best part of the meal were the rolls.

Excellent food and service. We dine there twice during our stay – it was that good.
We had the Mahi, the tuna, and the filet. Also had scallops, escargot, and creme brulee. All were excellent. During our second visit, we sat with the bartender Jeff who gave us lots of info on the restaurant, the menu, and the cocktails. We will be back for our next visit.
