A little pricey for the portions and casual vibe, but Camden Deli was still a solid spot for a quick lunch. We weren’t very hungry and were looking for something informal during a weekend day trip to Camden when we came across this deli. I had the sausage and peppers soup along with a broccoli salad, and both were really good. My husband ordered a small side of pasta, which he said was yummy. That said, just those three items came out to $27, which felt a bit steep for pre-made food ordered at the counter. The dining room does have large windows with beautiful water views which was a plus. Service was fine overall.

Deli food at its best! We stopped in for a sandwich on the go and the staff was quick to steer us to a perfectly balanced focaccia!! Like look at that thing!

It was delicious as take out but also looked like a nice place to dine in while out on the town.

All you could hope for in a deli! Large menu. Great sandwiches. Great baked goods. Only tried the tomato basil soup, which was more reminiscent of tomato sauce, so will have to try another one next time to get a better gauge on their soup situation. In the wintertime, you can still sit in the back and get a lovely view of the harbor from their windows.

Outstanding!
Every server I saw or interacted with was super friendly and attentive.
I sat upstairs so I got table side service. I ordered the Italian sub on a baguette and a black coffee.
I didn’t intend to eat the whole thing but I couldn’t help it. It was so good!!! The baguette was very fresh, and the meats and cheese were perfectly stacked and fresh and tasty. The coffee was great!! I really can’t say anything bad because it was all good. Price was reasonable and seating was very comfortable. The interactions I saw between servers and other folks was friendly and helpful. If I lived around here I’d come as often as possible. Photo only has half pictured because I agree the first half within seconds.

If we’ve learned anything from our extended US East Coast road trip, it’s to find the best Deli or equivalent supermarket in your destination, buy your lunch or dinner there, and eat at a beautiful spot of your choice.

That’s the case here, too. The Camden Deli has everything you desire. The sandwiches are super delicious by the way.

Take them to Camden Harbor at sunset and enjoy the entertainment and hustle and bustle.
You keep that much longer in your head than a restaurant visit.

Pretty nice place. Right by the water, didn’t have to wait very long for the food, and even at a tourist-y place the prices weren’t too crazy either. Even bought a huge and delicious brownie for like $5 here. Not too shabby of a spot to stop if you need a quick bite to eat.

Great location right in Camden downtown, you can enjoy your sandwich by the window with a nice view of the bay. So many sandwich and dessert options, everything looked so good. I ordered the fantastic focaccia and it was absolutely delicious. I also had an iced latte but can’t say I loved it. The only negative point for me was that tables were not wiped down between uses, since it’s an order on the counter situation, the staff doesn’t really pays attention to how clean tables are. I will definitely be back.

The sandwiches are fresh, flavorful, and made with high-quality ingredients. The staff was polite and helpful with questions about the area also. I loved the roast turkey sandwich but they have tons of other things to order. For a special experience, grab your meal and take it down to the harbor to watch the boats come and go. Perfect for a relaxing meal with a view!

Local Guide Tip – Bring your camera! The light here is absolutely incredible in the morning and afternoon.

I have longed to find a sandwich shop in Maine that could truly scratch the itch I have for not just a good sandwich but a great one. Camden deli scratches that itch. I ordered the Reuben and was very impressed. The Rye had a perfect toast, not too hard not too soft. The ratio between the 3 primary ingredients (sauerkraut, thousand island and of course corned beef) was absolutely perfect. I believe portion size always plays a role in the judgement of a great sandwich. If the sandwich is way overloaded and becomes difficult to eat it’s not a perfect sandwich. If there’s too little meat and the sandwich is kind of skimpy then it’s not a perfect sandwich. The Reuben I ate was the perfect portion size. Nothing fell out of the sides but I also could eat it without having to unhinge my jaws. I encourage anyone with a true desire to experience the perfect sandwich to eat at Camden Deli.
