We had an excellent dining experience at Sign of the Horse! My family and I started with the batter-fried mozzarella sticks as an appetizer, and they were absolutely amazing. They came with a delicious dipping sauce that complemented them perfectly.
For our entrees, my daughter and I both ordered the chicken Caesar wraps, which were fantastic. My husband got the Carlito sandwich with French fries, and he loved it. Everything was fresh and flavorful.
We also tried their ciders, which were absolutely fantastic. The quality of both the food and drinks really stood out.
If you’re in or around the Red Lion area, you definitely have to give this place a try. We’ll certainly be back! We are going to give their wings a try on a Wednesday!

Had an amazing time! Great place to be 100%. Food was hot, served quickly and everyone there had an awesome personality. Thank you to Jerry and the one and only Executive Chief Fred for making our Christmas party a memorable one!

A memorable Valentine’s Day for all the WRONG reasons.

Valentines dinner. $108. Primary meal took an hour and 40 minutes to arrive. Drinks took 20 min. It was all very disheveled.

Lobster was undercooked and the steak was leather like. We didn’t even eat it there. Just as we were about to leave it came in the to go box. Appreciate the quartet trying, but they sang the same 4 songs over and over.

Parking is a challenge with the snow.

Normally food is good but expensive but last order was not good. Ordered pulled pork sandwich and it was dry with all hard burnt pieces. My husband ordered the crab burger as usual, again normally good but he ordered the burger how it was with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and onions and see picture how he received it . Now it was more of a crab cake on top not crab meat. Very dry

On Sunday, July 13th I hosted my daughter’s bridal shower at the Sign of the Horse. From start to finish it was seamless. The area is spacious with its own bathroom facility. The neutral colors made decorating a breeze. Planning with Connor was so easy and the fees were very reasonable. The food and service were great. I would highly recommend the Sign of the Horse for your celebration venue!

Hey Photobooth
We had stopped there a few weeks ago for their soft opening which was busy with lovely live music, and a beautiful outdoor patio area. But tonight we decided to come try out their food. Our server, Morgan was very friendly and recommended items off the menu. We got the pan nachos with brisket and the beast burger. Both were good! We really liked the brisket! The beast burger itself was good, but the bacon jam was a little sweet for our taste, but if you don’t mind a bit of sweet with it, you’d probably really enjoy that. we also tried the cheese cake with different drizzles on it. Also very good! I had the zombie frog IPA beer which was tasty too!
We will definitely be back.

We had a loaded fry and 2 house burgers for lunch, first time visit.
The loaded fry was not exactly “loaded”. Literally a pinch of cheese burnt to a crisp on the fries. There were more chives than cheese. I had to actually look for the cheese, and there was no flavor to the fries.
The burgers were delicious, however well done on one side and medium on the other for both. The free chips included were actually amazing, well seasoned unlike many places.
I was told there was no manager present, so we couldn’t have a remake or refund for the fries. Felt that was an odd way to respond.
And then when I got the bill I found each item was priced $2 higher than the menu.
They say they mistakenly charged dinner prices instead of lunch prices.
Very rocky first time visit.

Ate here twice. First time, we had burgers, fries and 2 flights of homemade brews. Food was average, nothing to get excited about. Waitress was ok. The beer was very good. Second time, food was horrible. I ordered the meatloaf and it was disgusting. I don’t believe it was 100% beef. The meat crumbled into little pieces like it was not real beef. I had to eat it with a spoon. Taste was horrible. The fries were horrible little strips of oil laden potatoes. Not fresh or crispy. I took my fork and squeezed out all the oil. God awful. Waitress was too busy flirting with another patron at the bar. Never checked out drinks, never asked how our food was, nothing. When we were done, I told about my meal and she didn’t fetch the manager or offer any apologies. Top it all off, it was expensive. I don’t recommend this restaurant at all. Eat elsewhere.

Update 1/30/2026: In response to Comments left by SOTH, I’m not crazy, I’ve been tested. I did eat meatloaf at the Red Lion location and it was about 1 year ago maybe a little later. I just felt I should warn others about the sub-par restaurant. Obviously, trying to be hip and cool is more important than letting a review influence due change. All style and zero substance from the responder from SOTH. Diner be ware!

First and foremost I don’t even know how this restaurant is rated even kind of good. Should be in the list of worst restaurants in Red Lion, and deserved a -5 stars. I’m not here to leave misleading reviews or to be lenient because I am friends with the owner of any restaurant or know someone who work in any of the restaurants I go. I’m giving my 100% honest opinion because I want people to know what to expect and not be misled by false expectations. Having said that, I’ll proceed to give my opinion about “this restaurant”.
We went for Valentine’s Day. First time going there and WAS THE WORST experience in dinner at any restaurant EVER. It took 20+mins to give us our drinks, appetizers 50 mins, 2 Cesar salads (the kitchen staff decided one with croutons and the other one without them and without cheese! Was just lettuce diced ) food never arrived after almost two hours of waiting. When we were about to left dinner came in a to go bag… two lobsters tails completely undercooked and one steak absolutely dry and overcooked (side note: the waitress went to the table 3 times to ask how we want cook the meat: medium rare). Conclusion $108 straight to the TRASH CAN where it belongs. My advice : don’t waste your time and money, even McDonald’s is better and realistic with the prices. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN AND NEVER RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE

Here for the 17 year olds birthday meal. Food was good & service too! I loved the music
We had mahi tacos, cheesesteak sandwich, ultimate grilled cheese (which I’ll try next time ) & the carlito all upgraded to fries (next time I’ll ask for vinegar for the delicious fries) It wasn’t busy & I really enjoyed getting the window seat to enjoy my little town.
