I love it here. The food is AMAZING. I’m a foodie and I love to eat. I had absolutely no complaints. Everything was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I meant to leave a review the first time I came to this restaurant but didn’t. So at this current moment of me leaving this review, I have visited this spot in Jamaica, Queens about 6 times and ordered from Uber eats multiple times within the past year. When I’m working in the area, I usually stop by when I have time in between setups. Overall, it’s a clean, friendly environment. Nice “mom and pop” shop with fresh, great tasting food. I’ve posted some pics from breakfast and lunch orders that I’ve had here at Avenita Diner.

I ordered for delivery and it came in a reasonable time but the pancakes tasted nasty, tasted watered down and it was raw in some parts. Home fries were over seasoned to hide the fact it has no flavor. And for the love of god can yall please stop putting that little plastic cup in the triple decker sandwich??

Come into Avenitas expecting Diner food. So what does that mean? Diner food typically has a huge menu and while it may not be the most original or best “tasting” food, the ambiance and coziness of a diner is half the magic. With that said, Avenitas is one of the best kept secrets as far as diners go in queens. The service is impeccable with such friendly staff, and an interior which screams hangout with family or friends. The food also holds up, the portions are very generous, with taste depending on what you order I think. Some of the appetizers and sides are definitely refried, but they still tasted very good. Also, the prices were very reasonable. So, for price, ambiance, service, atmosphere, and taste, I will frequent here a lot more.

I have never seen a place where they charge for a to go container and they didn’t even tell me that they were going to charge me for the container. This is absurd. Nonetheless, the cup I was given water in, had a lip stain on it. Absolutely unacceptable! this place was super crowded. I don’t know why! The home fries were cold. The bread was cold. The food is OK the typically diner food. I don’t think this place is clean to be honest. I can’t recommend.

If you’re going here for pancakes or waffles -this is not it !!!!! Pancakes tasteless (has a very weird taste) waffles super crispy/not a fan also very tasteless. I couldn’t finish both due to the horrible taste .

On 10/19. Went there for my birthday. The staff now is horrible. The young lady that works there -I asked her for drinks she look at me like I have three heads. She must be related to the other young Spanish lady the works there. Not everyone is meant to be a waitress. Those two must be related to the owner. I normally have 3 cups of coffee I couldn’t get a refill.
They need to bring Lucy back. I don’t know what happened but I wouldn’t be coming back. We been going there for 3yrs. Waitress Lucy is amazing. She knows our orders. She makes the diner experience amazing. Always attentive to your needs. We would go anywhere she works.

We had the strawberry milkshake which was refreshing and delicious. Not too sweet!
The monte cristo (with bacon) was fantastic. Flavorful, cheesy, and the French toast was fluffy.
The Philly cheese steak was good but, for me, the meat was slightly dry but the sandwich altogether is tasty. The bread also stood out – crispy and flavorful. The fries were hot and soft and had a light crisp.
Overall, a satisfying meal! Would definitely recommend!

Avenita Diner is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious — every dish I’ve tried has been full of flavor and made fresh. The prices are super reasonable for the quality, and the portions are generous too. The service is always warm and welcoming; you feel like family as soon as you walk in. Definitely one of my favorite spots — highly recommend!
