Ate late lunch at Sake Sushi Bar and Lounge in Port Arthur, TX. It was wonderful food with fair price and beautiful resturant.

Establishment: Clean, well kept, good music.
Seating: Decently comfortable, good size booths, calmly lit
Restrooms: Clean, orderly, also well kept.
FOOD: If I could sum up the entire meal… horrible, honestly. My wife and I did the new ALL You Can Eat offer, and we regretted the decision. I’ve included our receipt so you can see what we had. The egg rolls were 6/10, the dumplings were also a 6/10. Everything else, including the Dr. Peppers, was just not good. At all! The place shows possible potential, but they need to go eat at Sushi Masa a few times, and maybe Herraduras as well, and then put the newfound information together and revamp their menu. I’m not hating just to hate, I promise, but if you’re wanting good food remotely in this niche, drive the distance into Beaumont to Masa, it’s worth it, I promise.

Unfortunately, nothing about this place really stood out. The food felt more like MEDIOCRE Asian mall food and grocery store sushi disguised as a sit down restaurant. We ordered everything at once and it came out almost immediately, which was honestly confusing I thought the server had brought another table’s food.

The main reason I’m giving it three stars is that you do get what you pay for. On the positive side, our server was very kind and attentive, which I genuinely appreciated.

After finding a hair in my roll I asked to speak to the manager he then proceeds to tell me there’s no hair (you can clearly see it pictured). So not only was this my first time here but then the manager wants to call me a liar about finding hair in my food And based on other reviews this happens often… won’t be back. Will stick to Yuka sushi.

EDIT! we in fact put the hair in his hand and he acted dumb. try again. own up to your mistake.

HORRIBLE.They didn’t give me chopsticks or napkins, they didn’t understand what “nigiri salmon” meant, they brought me the wrong quantity of what i ordered. THEN, I ordered a rainbow roll and they served me another roll completely different but with same topings?? then, after complaining they changed it. The Salmon and all the fish in general was DISGUSTING, i’m not picky at all with this stuff but it was 0 fresh and litterally tasted like nothing and it was hard to chew. Only acceptable thing if we don’t meantion the quality of the roll (because it was cut in different sizes and it fell apart really easily) was the california roll because it tasted good. AND, it was freaking expensive.
They told me the fried rice was good but it doesn’t look like it in that presentation tbh .

We have come here a few times already. No doubt the best sushi in town. Service is great. Beer is ice cold. My only let down is that every time you go in there is like 3 different songs playing at the same time. The sushi guys got music. The cooks in the back got a song and then there is the ambient music playing.

This is the place that I first ever tried & enjoyed sushi when it first opened. Love coming back! The space has doubled. Food is still so good!
I also love the ability to opt for soy paper. I’ve never liked nori/seaweed paper.

So not only was this my first time here but then the manager wants to call me a liar about finding hair in my food and say there’s no old lady’s working in the back for there to be a short light colored hair (as if people don’t have animals and don’t lint roll themselves before prepping food). Absolutely disappointing I don’t normally do this but this was disappointing to say the least.

Huge shout out to our waiter on Saturday night and cooking staff! My daughter had her birthday dinner there. Our waiter was wonderful (Zane)!! The food tasted great and came out very quickly!! Definitely would have another birthday dinner there again!!! Thanks Sake!!

The employees are always on their phones everywhere, regardless of whether customers come in or not. They just stand there casually scrolling on their phones. It’s really irritating to see them constantly using their phones while at work. I honestly don’t know whether the owner of this store respects customers or not—no wonder the shop is always empty.

The prices went up considerably. The smoked salmon on the NY Roll tasted raw. The quality was not what it used to be. Still decent food and wonderfull service.
