Taco Mucho in Oak Park is a great, straightforward taqueria that absolutely overdelivers.

The menu is simple and to the point, but the food is anything but basic—those tortillas feel like they were made in heaven and genuinely remind me of tortillas back home. Portions are solid, service is fast, and the whole place is clean, aesthetic, and has really good vibes for the location.

I ordered three tacos (two al pastor, one carne asada) plus black beans, and every single item had an amazing flavor profile—bold, well-seasoned, and just plain satisfying. They also have a strong cocktail and beer selection; it’s not huge, but it’s curated well and definitely enough.

Highly recommend.

The tacos were very flavorful and delicious and the churros were good too! The carnitas and carne asada were so juicy with the right amount of crispy. The margarita was very good too!

I was having such a bad week at work and hubby decided to take me out to make me feel better. He knows I like to explore the city, so he drove me to this cute little neighborhood in Oak Park. We went yarn shopping on Harrison street, saw all these cool Art studios, got hungry and found this awesome taco spot! OMG the Blackened White Fish bowl was SO GOOD! Hubby had the Asada Tacos and Carnitas Tacos and loved his. I got to snag a bite too!

I recently dined at Taco Mucho in Oak Park, and I must say, it was an incredible experience from start to finish. We kicked off our meal with their margaritas—one hibiscus and one mango. Both were expertly crafted, perfectly balanced, and just the right amount of alcohol.

Next, we enjoyed their guacamole and chips along with the Nacho Mucho. Both dishes were delightful! The chips were freshly made, and the chicken on the nachos was incredibly delicious and well-seasoned.

For the main course, I ordered the spicy shrimp quesadilla alongside spicy shrimp tacos, served with black beans and rice. My friend opted for the Al Pastor chicken, also accompanied by black beans and rice. Every bite was bursting with flavor!

To finish off our meal, we indulged in churros drizzled with chocolate sauce. They were the perfect sweet ending to a fantastic dining experience.

The customer service was an A+, and the ambiance was just right, complemented by amazing music that added to the overall vibe. Our experience at Taco Mucho was nothing short of amazing, and I can’t wait to return

We had such a great experience at Taco Mucho! The food was excellent — everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. The ambiance has a cozy boutique feel, and I really enjoyed the art on the walls. It gives the place a unique and inviting vibe.

Our waiter was exceptional. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of. At one point, my sister’s order didn’t come out, but as soon as the mistake was noticed, the staff corrected it quickly and professionally. The timely response and care really stood out.

Overall, the service and food were amazing, and I would definitely come back and recommend Taco Mucho to others!

Wow, what an awesome place. Staff are friendly and the food is delicious. Ron the owner goes above and beyond to make sure your meal is perfect. The Torta was top notch and the Nachos are a large portion. The tequila selection is top notch with only the best quality additive free offerings. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend checking out Taco Mucho.

LOVE TACO MUCHOOOO
My favorite spot for tacos, drinks, and great vibes. ✨ Taco Mucho is hands down one of my favorite spots! The margaritas are the best—perfectly balanced, strong, and super refreshing. The food is absolutely amazing—everything tastes fresh and flavorful. The handmade tortillas are next-level, and the salsas? Incredible.

I also love the vibe here—so warm and welcoming. The staff is always friendly and upbeat, which really adds to the experience. Plus, they even have their own craft beer, which is such a cool touch!

Whether you’re here for a casual night out or just craving authentic, delicious Mexican food, Taco Mucho never disappoints. Highly recommend!

Kinda boring. Their tacos are just the basic onions and cilantro type. I’m more of the cheese, tomato onion kinda girl. They also had carnitas tacos, which I wanted but they wouldn’t be available until 1:45 and we were there at one. I thought it was a bit unprofessional not to be prepared for lunch. Also the tortillas were thick and rubbery. The guacamole was decent, so that’s something. The attendant was nice and friendly and efficient, so that’s also something. We only went there because Buzz Cafe closed down. Bummer.

Went at the beginning of the month, met the owner of the spot and the customer service provided by him was excellent. Was curious about different tequilas, and the owner, a great tequila connoisseur broke down a lot of the hype vs. quality tequilas to me. Great experience, also great food.
